What kind of paint should we use to paint seashells we picked up at the beach yesterday?

I don't care if you think I shouldn't paint them, that's not what I ask. If you don't have an answer to the actual *question*, DON'T ANSWER.

    Your best bet would probably be to use acrylic paints - it will last much longer. Let me offer you another suggestion though - before you paint them use a little bit of bleach diluted with water to clean them first - the paint will adhere much better.

    not sure how to find out what type of paint is on the door but i know that oil base will stand up to the outdoors better than latex because latex starts to peel and crack.

    We painted ours with nail polish,clear and clearpink. They look great.

    Watercolors or acrylic.
