Has Iran ever started a war?

Iran has never started a war with any country, but America sponsored Saddam who started an unprovoked war on Iran, just as he did on Kuwait cuz He had the vision of conquering all Arab land and being the 'leader of all of Arabia', America also disliked the Islamic revolution which was going on in the '50s, the CIA, planned the coup of the then very popular president of Iran and placed a puppet there, but was rejected by the ppl, and after the war wif Iraq he was reinstated again, and rejected again, Iran is arguably the most scientifically advanced Islamic nation and not being an 'ally'/poodle of the U.S. they feel generally threatened over it's influence as the US would like to maintain control over every region.

Well America is the worlds biggest holder of nuclear weapons - surely that means they're a bigger threat, Especially when you factor in the total lack of understanding of world history and geography that the average American has. That includes a few of the latest incumbents in the Whitehouse.

America remains the only country to have ever used a WMD for real - not once but twice - when it wasn't necessary to do it in the first place.

also Us wants the countries of the middle east to be aware of the threat of Iran for them also- which is not true- so the US can sell the american weapons all over the scared countries from the Iranian threat.

i'm not sure if they did start the war or not but they have been in war with iraq about 10-15 years ago. i researched and skimmed the topic a few months ago. they were in war with iraq for almost 10 years. it was something about iraq's policies and how they managed the middle east...

Yes, the war they're waging right now, and have been since 1979. Oh and MR. Spook 542, Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons at least a dozen times, on the Iranians and on his own people, also chemical weapons were used during WWI

When you have power you can do anything,but it's not correct we all know who started war that is Uncle Bush that will also come in history it's a mater of few days.

they are a threat because they said they are a threat. their current president wants to wipe out some countries. he has said it. there is nothing to debate. if the country people vote him out, then the main threat should be gone.

the question is like asking:

"if my neighbor never commited a crime but said he plans on murdining half my family, why is he considered to be a threat?"
