Help with my SD Card Slot in my Dell laptop?

Hi -

I have a Dell Latitude D520 laptop. There is a slot on the side that has been designed to take SD flash memory cards. I have one loaded with data that I want to transfer onto my computer, but when I insert the card the computer doesn't read it.

I have sucessfully used my card before, so am wondering if there is a driver missing or something...?

    on windows update it may have updated the driver so check that and if so backtrack it

    also try the basic of putting it in and going to computer

    if neither of these work try another sd card as the connection port on the card may be busted

    Try disabling it then re-enable it..

    OR simply restart your computer

    if the problem persists you may consider re-installing the driver
