What's the best QB / WR duo of all-time?
Please choose from the list:
1. Montana / Rice
2. Young / Rice
3. Manning / Harrison
4. Aikman / Irvin
5. Brady / Moss
6. Marino / "Marks Bros."
7. Bradshaw / Swann
8. Fouts / Winslow
9. Warner / Bruce
10. Other
I have Montana / Rice first, but the rest of the list is kind of random. I think Brady/Moss have to do it for more than one year to move up. Are there any others you can think of?

If they played with today's rules, they would have put up numbers that would boggle the mind.
Source(s): Bradshaw/Stallworth was better than Swann. - NateLv 51 decade ago
The Montana/Rice combination is the best because with that kind of talent, it's no wonder they won all of those Super Bowls. Plus, Jerry Rice is the all-time leading receiver in the NFL. You'd be hard-pressed to eclipse his records. You'd have to be in the NFL for as long as he was just to do it!
Aikman/Irvin comes next. They're a good combination because Aikman was a smooth, cool, precise quarterback who knew where to put the ball at all times and because of it, it just added to Michael Irvin's swagger. It would've been one thing if Michael Irvin talked a lot of trash and didn't deliver. But since he brought the heat from one Sunday to the next by backing it up with his play, they absolutely deserve to be on the list!
Manning/Harrison comes 3rd for me because both are quiet guys who make a lot of noise with their play. Peyton Manning is what you call a mechanical quarterback who's style is reminiscent of those old-style 50's and 60's QB's, but he made it look so efficient in today's late 90's/millennium style that has come to dominate the game. Marvin Harrison is one of those "shut-up-and-play" type of guys. He and Reggie Wayne are the best WR tandem in the game today!
I don't know about Brady/Moss. They've only been playing together for one or two seasons. Both need a few more years of playing together to be considered the greatest QB/WR duo. But with the way they've been playing this season and the way their record is showing now, it's almost like they've been playing together for years and years!

Montana / Rice.
Just because they are th best QB ever and the best WR ever.
I would put Jim Kelly / Andre Reed and Bradshaw / Stallworth instead of Brady / Moss (they have not been long enough) and Warner / Bruce.

Manning/Harrison.. although NOT fashionable today, and after this season (his 1st injured) has to be the Answer... especially when you consider the facts, stats, the fact that it's not over for them, and that they BOTH came into the League at the same time and played/grew together...
Rice was great, the best of all-time.. but he's split with 2 QBs on your list. And one you didn't mention.. one of MY favorites was Kenny Stabler & Fred Biletnikoff because of how they TRIED and played and what they mean to wins & winning in that era.. especially when WRs got pounded (far more than this Manning/Harrison era) etc.

If it's all time tandems you can't really rate Brady/Moss since they've only had one season. I would say:
1. Montana/Rice
2. Aikman/Irvin
3. Young/Rice
4. Manning/Harrison
5. Elway/Sharpe (TE, but ....)

I agree with 1-3. Rice is still the best receiver of all time, with either Q.B. I wouldn't ask if there is any more some can think of or you will probably have Dallas fans lobbying for Romo/ T.O. Also , Elway could be considered. Bella Smith was a running back not a wide receiver

Brett Favre / Donald Driver
Brett Favre / Sterling Sharpe
Brett Favre / Antonio Freeman

Manning///Harrison
note: Micheal Irvin was the biggest cheater in football. He always pushed his defenders to catch passes.
