Help I have a friend who is stranded in Ft. Worth Texas?

A good friend of mine called earlier to tell me he is stranded in Texas. He went to Texas for work with a temporary agency which was initially going to take care of his room and board. He has during his time there had hours worked withhold from him and been left with paychecks for $0 and most recently the company lost it's contract meaning no labor for anyone. They subsequently kicked all the employees out of the hotels and now my poor friend is stranded with no money to get home. I don't have have it to loan or else I would so I am wondering if anyone has ever been in this situation or knows of something to tell him to help. He has to leave the hotel here soon and I don't know what to do.

Update:

We're trying to get in touch with his mo, but to no avail and in the day and age of the cell phone his was shut off because of all the not getting paid.

I just don't want him stranded where he doesn't have any resources.

Update 2:

I fully intend to help him contact the Dept of Labor that is not going to do him much right this instant. Oh well guess I'll pray.

check with the Salvation Army and Goodwill and Red Cross and other agencies in Ft Worth to see if they can be of assistance; also check the local social services agencies for the city of fort worth or county or state.

    good luck.

Sorry, I don't really know what to tell you. Maybe he can contact his friends and family and see if they can wire him some money to get home. Good luck to him and what a great friend you are for being concerned. Hugs.
