K-Rod (i give up) for delmon young, please read league details bellow, to understand why i would consider this

This is a 5x5, H2H 20 team league. We keep our entire rosters year to year, so the only way to aqcuire players is trade or FA. I have been in the league 2 years now, finishing 15th the first year and 17 this last year. The first year I tried to build up and do well even though my team sucked, and learn't my lesson and now I have been stock piling young talent. We do a waiver draft for the top pick and i have the number 1 waiver for next season.

Ok with all the details out of the way. I have a pretty potenital good young roster, with some nice building blocks for the future. Included on my roster are established stars Holliday and K-Rod, up and coming potential stars Kendrick, Longoria, Daric Barton, Adam Jones, the number 1 waiver (which I will use on Jay Bruce). My pitchers include Cole Hammels, K-rod, Jeff Francis, John Danks, Andrew Miller and Zito.

My question is I can trade K-rod for Delmon Young. In a normal league I would turn this down in a heart beat, but with our keepin

Update:

in our league prospects are golden since we keep our entire league year to year, and Bruce is the top prospect.

It's a roll of the dice, but I would say to go for it. Looks as if you have nothing to lose, and the payoff would be high if Young comes through. You'll have plenty of opportunities to pick up a closer through free agency.

My only question is, are you sure you want to spend your top pick on Jay Bruce? He's in a four-man competition for CF this spring. What are some of the other options?

    Good luck,
