Do I stop paying CSA maintenance when my daughter goes to Uni?

So - to set the story out...I pay maintenance for my two fantastic daughters. I have given their mum ( a doctor on over £100,000 a year) my share of two houses and cash, all adds up to over £150,000. I earn less than half what she does and left the family home with nothing. I have started from scratch - new mortgage etc, leaving me with vitually nothing every month. But - do I continue paying my maintenance when the girls go to Uni?

I have heard that theres new rules from this July - any ideas?

Update:

There isn't a specific 'UK' section,. nor US section for this sort of stuff. Sorry.

Well she is acting the 'bitter' woman, wanting to try and drive me into penury. Whilst doing this she is also alienating the girls as they now see her as quite a mean person.

Well you sound like you love your daughters, But the courts should take inconsideration her income and assests, and your income and assests,. She shouldn't "need" your money since she is a doctor, or is she just making you "pay" "because of the divorce"?.......Hopefully you understand what I was trying to say......

No that is not real. in case you decide on to go via the CSA maintainance will be payable from even as they first make contact with him i'd recommend you do not contain them though, they are commonly very confusing to attend to and commonly mess issues up/get issues incorrect and this may (and commonly does) reason project between both mothers and fathers. a strategies more suitable that you're making your own arrangements, in case you imagine he will pay up on time. If not then by technique of all ability bypass to the CSA

in new york its until the age of 21 even if she is in college. if she turns 18 and gets a full time job then no. but in new york when your child turns 18 you can have the child support sent directly to that child and not your ex spouse , hope this helped but if your not sure contact a family law attorney ask for a free consultation to be 100 percent sure they are the only people who really know so i would start there first

It should state in your divorce papers how long you pay support for the kids. Sometimes it is until 18 and other times it is until after they are out of school. Your situation would depend on what you agreed to when you divorced and child support was put into place.

Depends on what the laws are. Call your lawyer.

You should ask this in the UK category because I don't know what the heck you're talking about.
