Does anyone feel that the new commissioner is just trying to please the fans.?

I think that's part of the job description. The NFL is about making money. They sure don't make billions of dollars by making the fans mad.

Totally agree. I played football since I was 8 and play D-I in college. It seems as if they are taking away the aggressiveness out of the sport. That is what football is all about, controlled anger.

Now, I coach little league football and the kids are all wimps. They cry over every little scratch and don't get me started on the parents, the women and the men. Wow!!!!!!

Football is still exciting, but not anyone is making a sound tackle any longer. They might as well put a soccer ball on the field instead, you'll see better hits.

No. If anything I'd say he's trying to impose more of his will and lay down the letter of the law too much.

The calls in games are more about a failure with the refs and the lack of a full-time contract for them. They need to be full-time employees rather than weekend rentals and then the play calling would get better.

i used to be a HUGE hockey fan..

i mean yea i'm getting back into it now but the past few years i didn't even watch a game - whether it was out of spite or just because it sucked
