how come fingernails grow at different rates?

my pinky and thumb nails grow fast, my pointer and ring fingers grow at an ok speed and my middle fingers take forever to grow. how come they all grow at different rates?

    They say your middle finger and your thumb grow at the fastest speed, I read it in an article in Cosmo a while back. But it seems to be the opposite for me. It seems to be that the fingers you use most seem to grow the fastest

    The easiest nails to grow long are the ones you say grow the fastest. Are the other nails perhaps getting worm down by contact with things, but just a little bit at a time so you don't notice it?

    i guess the fingures u use the most get the best blood supply thus they grow the fastest

    idk but i know that the fingernails on ur dominant hand grow faster so mabye the fingernails on ur dominant fingers(the 1s u use the most) grow faster than the 1s u dont really use that much

    They don't there just like hair you must keep them covered on the ends so they don't split and break .

    umm well my fingernails dont do that.

    maybe when you cut it its not the same length

    or maybe you bite you nails idk
