I loved tennis in high school. We had a very large team (one varsity team and two full JV teams), and I got to know just about everybody there. Despite the fairly relaxed and friendly atmosphere, we were as competitive as ever. We even had some good competition for positions on the team. My senior year, we ended up winning our division, and had a doubles team make it to states.
For ultimate competition, though, nothing beats a good rivalry. For years, our rival had beaten us, and took the top spot in the division because of it. Senior year, we managed to beat them both in the season and in the division tournament.

I was a member of the high school tennis team from 7th grade to 12th grade and loved every minute of it. It was both fun and competitive. When you get to districts or regionals and possibly state, it can't get any more competitive than that. I would definately do it all over again if I could.
