What do you think about the guy who sued because people kept him from jumping off the Empire State building?

He sued because they stopped him from jumping. Would his family not have sued if people had just stood there and did nothing? It sounds like it was a lose-lose situation for the bystanders!

So, you can get in trouble for helping and you can get in trouble for not helping........Are we just supposed to ignore suicide attempts, rapes, pickpockets/purse theives, hit and run drivers? Has it really gotten to the point where you have to stick your head in the sand and ignore your surroundings?

Update:

Good point Cerebrus! What it he had jumped and landed on someone? Or someone's car or pet?

Well obviously the guy's got mental problems. What is he hoping to cash in and them he'd have no reason to jump? This is sad and hilarious all at the same time.

Obviously the guy had mental problems and he and his lawyer should both be placed in a nut house.

You can sue for anything. Only if the judge is an idiot do you get anywhere.
