Cocker Spaniel people!! and tail docking!!?
Any tail docking breed really......Do you think the tails should be left natural? Would you rather own a normally docked breed with a natural tail? or would you rather it be docked like we normally see?

tail docking is starting to become illegal in some places. dobbies and rotts and such would look funny with a whole tail i would never have my dogs tail docked my Jack has a full tail. but he is never going to be a champion or a stud, we just love him for who he is, all of him.

I can't imagine a Rottie without a docked tail. It's a preference, and sometimes a necessity for certain breeds, but I'd say if you like the tail no biggie, if you don't no biggie

Of course they should be left natural! It is not up to us humans and our cosmetic eye to decide how a dog should look.
I think the breeders and fanciers who chop off their dog's tails at birth are barbaric and cruel as can be.
I fostered a pregnant Australian Shepherd female in July 2006 and when all the puppies were born, of course I left the tails in place. I was so proud to adopt out five Aussie puppies in to the world with FULL, beautiful tails! I kept one pup for myself, Myles, who is stunning and quite awesome. His tail is so unique and I cannot imagine him without it
In the UK, tail docking and ear cropping is now banned and you will see all the "usually-docked" breeds with full tails around there.
People do not even recognize the common breeds when they have their tails! It is ridiculous that we as humans mutilate our beloved dogs for our own visual pleasure, and the dogs still continue to love us unconditionally.
I cannot imagine how the breeders live with themselves after commiting such a practice.
Dogs NEED their tails!!
And for those who say some breeds are born without tails, that is a fallacy. Some breeds have been bred to have a genetic mutation which creates a bob tail, and sometimes that is not even short enough for the greedy breeders. Breeding genetic mutations in to our dogs is unhealthy and irresponsible, regardless of what the breeders have to say about it.
And for those who say it is "okay for show dogs", well, explain how it is okay for dogs who are for show, and the "breed standards" call for it, when really, that is adhering only to "looks" and not for a true purpose. Saying it is okay for a show dog is terrible because that is putting a show dog on some special, cosmetic pedestal which is demeaning.
Here is my beautiful, awesome Aussie, Myles with his perfect tail:

Docking is now illegal in Australia and I'm glad - I think tails perform important functions in a dog and why remove something for cosmetic reasons? It seems utterly selfish and arrogant of us to alter a dog for the purposes of aesthetics. Spaying and neutering have vital functions - but tail docking and ear cropping serve no purpose.

It was born with a tail for a reason and I think it should stay that way. Same thing with cropping dogs ears...they should be left alone.

its all a matter of preference. I field hunt birds with my cocker, if I left her tail on it would hold her up going through the 1-3 foot brush. Same with dew claws...she would have ripped one off by now if they were not removed.
