What color pants matches a dark purple dress shirt?

I bought this great-looking dark purple button-up collared dress shirt for work, and a light purple shirt to go underneath. (I am a woman, by the way.) The brand is Express. I look fabulous in this shirt but I didn't buy a pair of pants to go with it.

I'm about to leave for work but I can't seem to find a pair of pants that matches it well! I tried black but for some reason it doesn't seem quite right. The shirt has very thin pink stripes - the type that are just a single stitch of thread in a line, so you almost can't even tell what color they are. I have a choice of olive green, dark khaki, light khaki, black, or brown pants. Any quick answers will be greatly appreciated - I have no sense of this "fashion" stuff at all. Thanks!

I would go with the brown or the light khaki, I would think those colors are a little more neutral where your blose will stand out more.I love purple!

Depends on the exact shade, but I would think it would go well with gray, black and khaki.

I think it would probably look really nice with cream pants, if you ever find a pair your really like. I have a pair of really soft wool pants for winter that I love and they look great with purple.

i think the brown will go well.

but, a lot of it will depend on the style of these different colored pants with the shirt style..ya follow?

the brown is actually going to be your neutral in the outfit.

didn't you say you didn't like the black ones and that you didn't have gray??

btw, a cute pair of brown dress shoes to go with also!

Given the choices you have, I would go with the black. But a great pair of charcoal grey with a pinstripe would be awesome.
