We have a spirit in our home?

DO NOT MAKE ANY FURTHER CONTACT...YOU ARE ENCOURAGING IT AND MAKING IT'S ENERGY STRONGER. For the safety of your children call TAPS - it's an excellent idea. In the meantime. Tell it to leave. Tell it you do not wish it to stay - and that is the only communication you should have. Your husband probably provoked it a little with his comment. If you want get sage or a Native American smudge stick and use this - this will help to drive it out. Do not use holy water. I have read that this will actually anger it - only ordained ministers or holy people should do this. I would strongly suggest getting the help of TAPS - in the meantime, try with a firm voice to tell it to leave. I know you say you don't mind having it - but it will become more of a problem - especially if you continue to acknowledge it . The orbs on film are difficult to determine - most paranormal experts will write this off as dust. You have your own proof that this thing exists - you need help getting rid of it.

It most likely isn't evil - but it can become a problem and why take the chance.

Have you tried smudging the home? You can also call on the Celtic Goddess Brigid to help you, she is the equivalent to Archangel Michael. If this entity is only listening temporarily, I am inclined to think that it's afraid of you attempting to get rid of it. So when it's fear subsides, it's up to it's old tricks again.

If after you smudge and it's still there, then that means the spirit has some 'ownership' to the home. In that case, there's really nothing that you can do but remind it of what you asked on a regular basis, deal with it's behavior or move out.

Old houses carry a lot of ghosts, sounds like you like your home so you might want to start off with smudging with sage. Sweetgrass is good for cleansings too.

If it is a ghost, helping it cross over would be the right thing to do for it's own well being.

Lastly, you might want to get someone who can channel spirits to see what is up with this one.

I agree there is not enough evidence to conclude that it is evil. If a spirit wanted to harm someone, it would have already done so. A shamanic practitioner might be able to contact and negotiate with this spirit, at least to find a way to keep it out of the beds. Consider searching for one in your community. Some belong to groups that post on the internet, so you could start by googling shamanic practitioner and your city. Good luck!

Go to your local library and ask for history records and you like to know who lived in the house or what else was build on your land. Considering the house is that old it is quite possible. Have you told it it is dead and really doesnt belong here and that he can move on. Tell it it has to move on. Its still going to try and do what its been doing. It knows THAT disturbes you and so it will still do it cause it seems to want some attention. Maybe its lonely so tell it their family is on the otherside waiting for him he doesnt have to be alone anymore. Hope that helps. Feel free to contact me if you want a more personal basis.

you have every right to tell this spirit it no longer is living and needs to move on. that this is no longer his home. he is not welcome there any more. if it is an intelligent spirit, it should honor your request. i had a problem with an old boyfriend who thought it was funny to wake me in the middle of the night and scare the hell out of me. i told tommy i had had enough and that if he was going to keep it up, he would need to leave. it's since stopped. he still hangs around, but no more of the waking up screaming in the middle of the night anymore.

if you don't mind it staying, you need to set the boundaries by stating cleary exactly what you want.

Most paranormal psychologist believe that seeing ghosts is a sign of psychological trauma. However, if you think that there is something in your house hire a priest or rabbi to bless the house. I think there can be "things" left over but you have to remember not to blow it out of proportion.

If you are Christian you can go around your house and pray for God's protection and rebuke any deamons by saying, " By the power and authority of Jesus Christ I rebuke you deamons/ satan be gone you are not welcome here!" Go to the Psalms and find a prayer and pray it ask God to encamp His angels around your house and hedge it to keep satan out. Make sure that you have confessed your sins before doing this or it won't work. Next you need to stop reacting and shouting for a divorce every time you have a disagreement with your husband, that is minipulation and unacceptable behavior. Listen quitely to what your husband has to say with out interupting him, and make sure you understand what he is saying, ask questions like " Is this what you mean?" and repeat what you heard and let him answer. Stay calm and peaceful, don't get defensive or feel that you have to be right. You are partners and should want what is best for each other, instead of opponents ( against each other). Be honest with yourself is there any resentment about your brother-in-law being there? Do you feel like he is taking your husband away from you? Does your husband feel like you are spending more time with his brother than with him? The main thing is when you feel the urge to jump up and yell for a divorce, STOP!!!!!! sit on it take a deep breath and ask God to help you, actually do this any time you feel threatened or scared ask God to fill you with His peace. Also are you sure the story your b in law told you is the truth and not the other way around? Obviously something has changed and you and your husband need to figure it out together. Also remember your children when you and your husband resort to yelling matches this terrorizes your children and they will internalize this and make it their fault, and you are teaching them that this is the way to behave and when they get older that is what they will do. Father God I lift up this family to you for your protection and guidence in this situation. Father you know what is going on and what is needed here help them Father as Your Will leads.
