Has anybody ever heard of adding a splash of vodka to scrambled eggs to make them fluffier?
I know I have heard of this and want to know where this originated. Or am I crazy??

Sounds wierd. The alcohol would just burn off... I use milk to make mine fluffy.

To make them fluffier, I always add milk.
But Hey, Vodka sounds good too, more so on a Sunday morning. The hair of the dog, and all that.

The vodka will actually Denature the egg.
According to an experiment done by the BBC Science Shack, if you put vodka on an egg white, the alcohol in it breaks weak hydrogen bonds in the protein. If you put vinegar on an egg white, the acid in it breaks ionic bonds. If you mix the two (vodka and vinegar), you break both types of bonds and quite effectively denature the protein.
From what I can tell, vodka would make the egg hard by chemically 'cooking' it. Not fluffy at all.

The best way to make an egg fluffier is to add water. Not cream..not milk.....but water. It mixes well with an egg and water has a very important component....Oxygen...as in H2O.
Water is a way of infusing air into your eggs.

I never heard of this and I can't see how vodka would make scrambled eggs fluffy.

Never heard of it either.
For a taste treat, put like 3 eggs and maybe 2 tbsp. of heavy whipping cream together and whisk until smooth, then cook it in butter.

"Fluffy" scrambled eggs should come from beating, not exotic ingredients, including baking soda, milk, etc. The only thing you should add is water, and a good whisk. The idea of making them super-fluffy should stay with a souffle or meringue.

I don't think that would work, the alcohol would probably just thin the eggs out. You might be able to add a dash of liquor to the mix to give it an edgier taste however.
