Looking for the child of William Patrick Sullivan and Cookie-?-?

My brother Bill had a girlfriend called Cookie in Chicago, Illinois around 1971-1973. She was pregnant with Bill's child... Bill died, and I really would like to make contact with this child (now an adult).... I do not know Cookie's last name....

Update:

They were not class mates. They grew up in different states. I have posted msgs. over the years on different sites in hopes of finding them.... There is no other way to find them but to tell the story.. so maybe they or a friend or relative will contact me.....

Update 2:

They never lived together. No one in the family knows any more than me. She is not in obituary. She didn't live near him. It is a mystery... Rumor has it that her baby was a boy and she named him Patrick William.... but it is only a rumor.

Were your brother and Cookie classmates? You could try to find her via classmates.com or reunion.com. You could try to find her last name from old yearbooks or an alumni association BUT I would not tell folks the reason why you are looking for her -- You can just say she's an old friend of your brother's. Cookie might not like the fact that you are revealing her personal history to the entire world!

Did you ever pull his obituary and see if anyone included her (hopefully by real name) in the write-up? It would be the first place that I'd start. The next place would be the Harold Washington Library to check out the reverse directories for that time frame (Polk's Directories) to see who lived near your brother or with your brother and may be your mysterious Cookie. Beyond that, your options are limited. Do you know which part of town they were living in and how they met? There might be some common tie that would make it easier to track her down today.
