Why does check engine light come back on after driving vehicle 3 hours, Rear sensor was change after light stays on ; Sensor top , first changed top sensor, then later after 3 weeks the check light came back on afterward rear sensor changed. ?

When the check engine light first appeared 5 weeks ago, the mechanic changed the top aft OT sensor and reset the codes, 4 weeks later "light on" reappers; mechanic Toyota says need new air catalyic coverter. I buy cataylicic and mechanic, also changes PVC valve; spend 4 hours driving light engine come back on. Then rear sensor changed mechanic, i then drive back an d4 hours in going 70mph light comes back on, then downwark rear sensor is changed because it appears burnt. I
The light is then reset, and 1 day later appears on- scanner print out autozone says, catalyic convertor not operating to to efficiency/ ot scanner/ etc. . Caltayic converter changed with high efficieny ocaltaylic change) But stiil on. Could it be that the when the check engine light first appeard we had the top sensor changed; then reset , then light came back , had the whole straight aftermarket high efficienc catlayic converter installed, and new convertors installed? I need a good car.
Thanks for your hel
Does chaging the top OT Sensor before replacing a catalyic Converter cause the check engine light to reappear, when a new high efficiency converter is installed along with a rear downward sensor, does not going back and changing the top sensor cause this problem>?

Sorry, your questions is so poorly written it is hard to understand.
First, the code P0420 is not an oxygen sensor code, it is for a bad gas cap.
Second, High flow catalytic convertors can still leave a low effeciency light on becuase they move too much air through, and dont work as well as the factory intended them too. Put a factory exhaust back on the car and the catalytic convertor problem will be fixed.
Thirdly, stop taking it to different shops. One is trying to diagnose what the other already fixed, and vise versa. One place needs to do it all so they can have a record of what has been done, and what codes were in it. Otherwise they are goign to be changing parts that the other place sold you.

Clear the codes, drive it until the light comes on, then scan it again, and fix the problem.
