I like to eat pork , but my Muslim friend told me Pig is a dirty animal and Allah hate dirty animals?

In Islam, Allah(swt) gives us the mercy of his wisdom and told us what is permitted and not-permitted in Islam. Halal is allowed, whle haram is not.

Anyways, haram is ot permitted because it is something that will harm you or your body.

For example: Intoxicants such as heroin, weed and cocaine are not permitted becuase they are harmful to the body. It can be only used in the case where it is not harmful towards you like, medications.

Pork is haram in Islam becuase it is not a pure animal, becuase pig eat their own waste and mate with any pig from the oposite sex (mother, sister, aunt), and apparently not al animals do that.

Islam isn't the only religion that doesn't permit pork, so does Christianity and Judaism.

One of my friend, who's Christian found a verse in the Bible which clearly states that pork is not permitted.

Firstly, you can't make an animal halal becuase, Allah(swt) gave us the list and you can't change it acording to your preference, its like taking the Qur'an and removing part that you don't like.

Smetimes an animalcan be haram if it isn't slaughtered properly or raised properly.

And washing won't help!!

Even though pig products taste good they will never be healthy animals for humans to eat no matter how you raise them or how you cook them according to the God Yahweh for disease prevention purposes in the human body. All animals with a simple stomach digestive system are considered "unclean" or not "kosher" or not "Halal" for human consumption by the same God that created all humans. So if you want to live a longer healthier disease free life on Earth then stop eating all pig products.

Pork is forbidden in Islam . no matter if you clean it or not .

Why ? many people ( including majority of Muslims ) have wrong conception about the reason . Their is no particular reason that is really stated in the Quran or our other holy books except that Allah has forbidden it ,.

Allah ordered us not to eat pork , blood , drink wine .... etc ,,, while he knows that some of these items are healthy in someway.

What we are doing is just following Allah's rules , believing that all his Do(s) and Dont(s) are attributed to his divine wisdom , and since it was not explained , we don't need to try to find reasons and wisdom but just to abide with those rules

This goes back to some dietary prohibitions in the book of Leviticus. Any animal that does not both chew cud (that means regurgitate food and chew it up some more) like cows, and have a cloven hoof like a cow (horses have a single hoof) then they are considered "unclean" and should be avoided. I believe God is fine with it, assuming you mean God when you say Allah. The Islamic practice of labeling animals 'clean' or 'unclean' comes from the instructions God gave the Jews. The concept seems to have logic in some cases but not others. The quality of what the animal eats does affect its meat/body, but many of the choices God made appear to be spiritual representations by the type of animal chosen as clean or unclean. Personally, I feel all animals are physically clean if sanitation precautions are taken as one must with every animal. The important thing to keep in mind is that one of the main (and God-stated) reasons for the practice of 'clean' and 'unclean' animals in those anient times, as was the practice of detailed ceremonies also, was to set the Jews apart from their neighboring groups as different and the receivers of messages from God Almighty. Also, the lifestyle of living by ceremonies (including animal choices) was fulfilled in Christ Jesus who taught a simpler and better way through him where our lifestyle is to focus on the spiritual aspects of God alone. The ceremonies were an introduction to Jesus and make the Jews realize that no one can obey perfectly of our own efforts - that we need a Savior to take away our sins.

At the time of prophet Mohammad, pig in Arab got plague, so forbid to eat pig.

Why pig dirty? because it eats its own ****? rabbit also eat its own ****, and muslims eat rabbit!

there is no such thing as dirty animals, as long as they are alive they are healthy, meaning balance of good and bad bacteria. they look the animals way of life. bec. anything you eat will be part of you. if you live near ocean, eating seafoods is a way of life. high temp area produces strong citrus flavor fruits than low temp area. you'll supposed to eat what is available in close environment.

The fact that consumption of pork is prohibited in Islam is well known. The following points explain various aspects of this prohibition:

1. Pork prohibited in Qur’an

The Qur’an prohibits the consumption of pork in no less than 4 different places. It is prohibited in 2:173, 5:3, 6:145 and 16:115.

"Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah." [Al-Qur’an 5:3]

The above verses of the Holy Qur’an are sufficient to satisfy a Muslim as to why pork is forbidden.

2. Pork prohibited in the Bible

The Christian is likely to be convinced by his religious scriptures. The Bible prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus

"And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you".

"Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you."

[Leviticus 11:7-8]

Pork is also prohibited in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy

"And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass."

[Deuteronomy 14:8]

A similar prohibition is repeated in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5.

3. Consumption of pork causes several diseases

The other non-Muslims and atheists will agree only if convinced through reason, logic and science.

Eating of pork can cause no less than seventy different types of diseases. A person can have various helminthes like roundworm, pinworm, hookworm, etc. One of the most dangerous is Taenia Solium, which is in lay man’s terminology called tapeworm. It harbours in the intestine and is very long. Its ova i.e. eggs, enter the blood stream and can reach almost all the organs of the body. If it enters the brain it can cause memory loss. If it enters the heart it can cause heart attack, if it enters the eye it can cause blindness, if it enters the liver it can cause liver damage. It can damage almost all the organs of the body.

Another dangerous helminthes is Trichura Tichurasis. A common misconception about pork is that if it is cooked well, these ova die. In a research project undertaken in America, it was found that out of twenty-four people suffering from Trichura Tichurasis, twenty two had cooked the pork very well. This indicates that the ova present in the pork do not die under normal cooking temperature.

4. Pork has fat building material

Pork has very little muscle building material and contains excess of fat. This fat gets deposited in the vessels and can cause hypertension and heart attack. It is not surprising that over 50% of Americans suffer from hypertension.

5. Pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth

The pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth. It lives and thrives on muck, faeces and dirt. It is the best scavenger that I know that God has produced. In the villages they don’t have modern toilets and the villagers excrete in the open air. Very often excreta is cleared by pigs.

Some may argue that in advanced countries like Australia, pigs are bred in very clean and hygienic conditions. Even in these hygienic conditions the pigs are kept together in sties. No matter how hard you try to keep them clean they are filthy by nature. They eat and enjoy their own as well as their neighbour’s excreta.

6. Pig is the most shameless animal

The pig is the most shameless animal on the face of the earth. It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate.

In America, most people consume pork. Many times after dance parties, they have swapping of wives; i.e. many say "you sleep with my wife and I will sleep with your wife." If you eat pigs then you behave like pigs. We Indians look upon America to be very advanced and sophisticated. Whatever they do, we follow after a few years.

According to an article in Island magazine, this practice of swapping wives has become common in the affluent circles of Bombay.
