Just wanted to know peoples views on this phone, I know it does not have wifi which is a bit odd and it doesnt bother me that much because I have access to the net at work and at home anyway. ( work in IT )

with text messaging do you have to use the qwerty keyboard or can you use the touch screen ?
Just seems a bit of a waste on the touch screen if you can only dial numbers and not text messages.
including the iphone ? i know the iphone is expensive and lacks some features which would of been nice. I had the 8210 some years ago and i liked that but there was features of the nokias that I do not like, like you had to add individual contacts for a mobile, land line etc you could not have one contact and inside that contact have one for mobile, one for land line number etc. Speaking of which I have not tried that with this samsung I have which isnt a complete pain but it does mean using twice as many contacts up on my sim or memory or w/e when I only want that mobile / cell number and the land line number for one person to be under one contact.
The N95 is ok but i still prefer touch screen now that I have used a touch screen and the N95 lacks that for me. The sat NAV works but requires fiddling and the samsung lacks GPS which sucks but am sure there must be an add on module or usb one available.

I have had a couple of samsungs and have always gone back to nokias, cos the nokias have easy menus and their life of batteries are good too, I went onto contract, about 2 weeks ago and I had a N82 and I went thru 2 handsets cos of an error problem showing up when I was using the camera.
Now am with the N95 and I have had no problems with that phone whatsoever, no freezing no crashes no bugs nothing apart from the sat nav which isn't working but nevertheless am not bothered.
But seriously I prefer the nokia phones over all the samsungs sony ericcssons lg and all the other makes of phones you can get out their.

The battery life will be very limited, but I am a big fan of Samsung. I've used Samsung phones for the past four years. Right now I'm at the end of my 2nd two year agreement and for the first year, my A900's battery was good, but the second year it's life is cut in half. The problem that they are having now with the smart phones is that the battery life, brand new, is only about two and a half hours of continuous use (internet, watching videos, taking pictures, etc.) It should last up to two days on a charge if you are just using it as a phone. If you can do a one year contract on it and pay $50 more, I strongly suggest it.

Samsung always seems to have excellent market awareness. This done is np differnrt. The reasons that every one in this world aren't lining up for I fones is because theres no full qwerty keyboard its pricy the camera is somewhat mediocre and well no GPS I myself am typing this on an iPhone so I kno. To me the f700 is a turn off because it lacks wifi that's pretty much it. Everyhing else is spot on also I think wifi is important. Ecause I have a feeling that wifi will be a standard on all phones someday soon I live in the US soooooo yea

Anybody with the slightest amount of inteligence, can see the design and good looks of this touchscreen device as a leading contender to outstrip the iphone! If you look at most SAMSUNG devices, they look good and feel good, dont they? I had the opportunity to own one! But opted for the N95 8gig! Instead.
