Does AKC have a public listing of the points a "showing" dog has earned? And yes I have asked the breeder.

I have purchased a dog with CH lines, bred to a pointed sire. The "show" breeder seems to consider any assistance AFTER the sale....NOT to be as important now that her payment has arrived. If I can access this information on my own, I will do so, as I am sure she is busy.

Update:

sjmdutch - thank you so very much for your very informative, helpful answer to my question.

How did we ever make it without you??

Yes you can find out the points a dog has earned from the AKC site. This is how many people interested in buying a dog/puppy from a breeder they don't know research and also breeders keep track of points as well. go to the AKC

www.akc.org go to reports & information scroll down to free online services and click on points progression you will probably need to set up an id & password but it is free. Then from there just follow instructions..it is very easy

At www.akc.org you must go to the online store, create an account, go to reports under the online store, points and awards, etc. You should be able to look up how many points the sire has. Keep in mind it only takes 1 point to say a dog is AKC pointed. A warning, if she is too busy now, than she probably won't be much assistance to you later either.

. ALL show dogs are have "Champion" bloodlines" As long as someone is willing to put out the money and go to lots of shows, eventually the earn their championship. Show points mean nothing. There are a shi% load of champion labs that won't fetch a duck....is THAT a champion??? NOT

There are plenty of SHOW shephards that won't do the work...and they're titled SchHIII.

There's alot of money in showing....not alot of real dogs.

Listen to the naration of Westminister sometime. "Here is the foxhound, once bred to run foxes all day & night.....now they're bred for their beautiful color". Who's the fuc#in idiot that decided that?????
