I try to answer question in a friendly manner, I don't know everything, but I try to help. I see NO need to be rude and hateful. I started college in 2011 (after 40 years of NO schooling) I am so in over my head, education is tough! I live in a small town in southeast Alabama. I am a small in-home dog breeder. The Chihuahua is the only breed I raise. My home is my kennel, my dogs just allow me to live here. My primary stud is a Grand Champion, my females all have heavy CH pedigrees. All my Chihuahua are AKC registered. I am always trying to improve my puppies by breeding to dogs with quality Champion bloodlines.Genetic health testing is done on all my dogs. I was inspected by the AKC in Jan, 2013 and passed with no issues. I never "farm" out my old Chihuahua, they are my babies, they live the remainder of their lives with me, safe, protected and loved. I am happy to provide references from my vet and past buyers. My website: www.chihuahuamagic.com

  • Statistics question on classical probability?

I am taking Business Statistics, this is the problem:

Electric meters on private homes in a community register the cumulative consumption of kilowatt-hours with a five-digit reading. If a home in the community was randomly selected, it’s possible that the right-hand digit (which spins the fastest) would be a “7”. Using the concept of classical probability, what is the probability that the digit is a “7”?

    How would this be solved?

Please use layman's terms, I have very little math skills.

  • Ku Klux Klan questions concerning care of the elderly, widows and children?

I would like additional information concerning the KKK. I am talking about the early/original KKK from during the Civil War. I remember as a small child hearing that when the KKK was started one of the reasons was to help the elderly, widows and children to survive the hardships of war, to offer food and blankets - without expecting payment of any kind. I also heard that husbands that were rather "heavy handed" to their wives were often "shown" how it felt to have someone beat the crap out of them.

I am not for or against the KKK, I don't know enough about them to have an opinion. What I am looking for is information on the early KKK movement, hopefully to provide some history about the things I heard as a child.

I am not looking for information that covers the corrupt things the KKK has done, I can find that information on my own.

If anyone has done a study or has read about the early history of the KKK and can provide links to sites that may cover what I am looking for please post.

I am not even sure if caring for the elderly, widows and children was ever a part of the original plans of the KKK, I would simply like to know if there are any articles or books that might mention such matters.

    Thank you for your time

  • How can I add a FREE Google search box to my Web site?

I have a design it yourself website (through Microsoft office). I wish to add a GOOGLE search box.

My computer skills are VERY limited so please try to keep it simple.

If it is a cut and paste with an attaching link, I know how to do that.

  • Does the Opt Out option in SPAM mail really work?

I get several spam emails daily, I would imagine it is about the standard amount that most people get... Most of the SPAM emails have an option where you can enter your email address and they will remove you from their contact list.

My question: does it really work, will they completely remove my email address, or am I just giving my email address to more of their "other companies" .

  • Is there a free way to determine how your site is ranked by search engines?

I have a website, and would like to know where I rank (and if the ranking is improving) on search engines

  • Is an e-signature binding on a bill of sale contract (for a puppy)?

Is an email stating they agree to the terms binding as well? I have all our emails, just wanted to be sure.

  • Tamiflu for dogs, what is the actual difference between name brand (Roche) and generic brand (Oseltamivir)?

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the actual ingredients or percentages of each ingredient used between the name brand (Roche) and the generic brand (Oseltamivir)

It would be silly to pay 3 times the cost of a name brand product if the ingredients are the same in the generic brand.

I have checked on line, but it only tells what the product is to be used for and how to use it....I have not been able to find a product list that shows the actual ingredients/percentages for the name brand or the generic brand.

I was hoping someone has a pack on hand and can state the actual ingredients from their package, also state if it is the generic or the brand name they have.

  • How do I enlarging the Yahoo mail viewing area on the "newest" change?

I am having an awful time with the tiny viewing area in the NEW AND IMPROVED Yahoo mail. When I try to read my mail, I have ads that pop up and cover the right side of my screen, that I can't get rid of, and the inbox, drafts, sent, spam bar cover up the left side of my screen, don't know how to get rid of it either. I need the larger print to see and that means I get about 7 words per line of type. Why cant Yahoo leave well enough alone already?????

  • I am looking for a border and frame program to highlight my website pictures of puppies and dogs?

I raise Chihuahua's and I would love to spruce up my website with some pretty picture frames/borders. I have looked at several but most offer the most basic designs, nothing fancy such as paw prints or frames that fade and swirl around the pictures.

I would prefer a free or trial site to see if I can figure it out on my own, my computer skills are WAY at the bottom of the scale.

    Thanks for any help

  • Chihuahuas, are the any IN DEPTH sites that will help explain what is desired and what are faults for showing?

AKC Chihuahuas, I am trying to learn the desired traits and what/how to look for them. Are there any sites (individual websites with information would be great) that will explain how to determine faults. It would be very helpful to have pictures to explain about the topline and nose length as far as what points to begin the measure and the acceptable length. I know there are zillions of things to consider.

  • Questions concerning Merle/Brindle breeding?

I would appreciate any advise concerning the (prospective-future) breeding of a Brindle to a Merle.

I have a prospective buyer in Hawaii that has a Merle male and she is interested in a brindle female (Twinkle) I have offered for sale.

I would like to know if there are any genetic dangers from a future breeding between this puppy and her Merle.

Both parents to the brindle female are totally NON MERLE.

Pedigree to Twinkles parents are posted on my website.

IF YOU ARE A BREEDER/MERLE HATER, PLEASE RESIST THE URGE TO REPLY.

  • Does AKC have a public listing of the points a "showing" dog has earned? And yes I have asked the breeder.

I have purchased a dog with CH lines, bred to a pointed sire. The "show" breeder seems to consider any assistance AFTER the sale....NOT to be as important now that her payment has arrived. If I can access this information on my own, I will do so, as I am sure she is busy.

  • Border crossing questions from Canada into Vermont for a pet?

I am trying to ship a Chihuahua to a lady in Asbestos, Quebec.

From my location the only option I have is Toronto, which is a 440 mile drive for her.

I can ship the pet to Vermont, which will be much less stress on the pet and much closer to Asbestos. She is elderly and does not have a passport.

I heard since the 9-11 horror that passport are manditory to enter the US from Canada.

Is this accurate? Does anyone have a phone number or website where I can get accurate information ?

  • Follow up for torbaynew......Question concerning coccidosis?

You do not list an email or I would have sent you an in depth explanation of what went on between my vet and myself.

For torbaynew... (about my not being really clear, or something. Whatever....)

11 days after I shipped 2 puppies, new owner stated her vet said they had coccidia when she had them checked within 72 hour limit. She stated one got well within 1 day and one died. I requested vet bills---PAID bill for recovered puppy. Requested her vet contact my vet with autopsy report on pup that died--no autopsy done...offered to have my vet call her vet---nasty email wanting money for vet bill--restated have her vet call my vet--still waiting....DID NOT pay vet bill.

I just wanted a breeders advise from their experience. I really did not need all the capital letters and exclamation points, I get the point, your not fond of breeders that do not have Champion dogs.

There are people that are physically and financially unable to show.

I prefer not to be blasted when I ask for guidance

  • Question concerning coccidosis?

I am aware it is common in any stress related situation. I have also had a puppy die from it,

HELLO TYKE-----you stated it was "A VERY simple, easily treated parasite!!!"

What should I have done...Please don't blast me. This is a very real concern for me. I often ship my puppies and any help will be appreciated and used.
