What is your take on free will?

I don't believe in free will and I am writing a paper on free will this is what I have so far:

Free will, the abilty of humans to choose a couse of action from among various alternatives, is a naural right. But to believe in Free will is believe that the world is void of societies and countrys who stripped people of their natural rights. Places where the word freedom and free are not spoken, countrys where your gender plays an important part in the way you are treated and viewed in society. Free will is a notion that one belives in order to justify their actions.

WHat do you guys think? and do you think that free will really does exist?

Update:

Some one wrote everyone has free will, you don't need your country for that. But what about country were woman are'nt allowed to leave there house without a man escort? What about countrys where people are'nt allowed to do most things because of caste systems(and yes they still exist), Relgions that lower women because of their gender, who stripped them of freedom? I believe that to have free will you must at first have freedom . Free will comes at a cost........

Do your own homework. Talk with a minister, ask him about free will. Go to the library. Look it up on the computer.

That is a very nice paper that brings up very real issues and has focus on a true premise, but I don't look at the subject in the same manner. I see free will not as a natural right, but as a God given promise to Adam after partaking the fruit from the tree of knowledge to be able to discern right from wrong.

Even though enslaved and stripped of every shred of decency, even if abandoned by all forms of society,a man can Think in his mind as long as it is capable of thought that he is free though he be enslaved, that is the basis of free will---the ability to think rather it be good or evil thoughts, one can choose. A totally paralyzed person that is blind and deaf is still a variable spirit because of his ability to THINK! This is what free will encompasses!

You have control over 50% of your life. The other 50% belongs to the social environment that you are brought up in, and the rules spoken and unspoken that you have to follow regardless if you are aware of it or not.

Free will is an execution of choice.

You don't have a choice regarding your race, gender, and sexual orientation, but you do have certain choices within them. There are so many factors that influence our decisions and choices on a daily bases to the point where the only true choices you have is how you are going to react to things, and that's where free will come into play.

    Example:

I think the world is a very bad place full of way too many evil people who wish to influence my free will for their own gains. My choice is to limited my exposure to humanity as much as possible, therefore leaving more room for my free will. My choice is to isolate myself from humanity as much as possible and CONTROL the information that I am exposed to. This is my choice stemming from my free will.

You don't need your country to have freedom etc., to have free will. Every human has free will to do millions of choices every day.

    Yes free will exists.
