If people evolved from apes why are there still apes? Hoping the question dont put you alcoholics in a stupor.
Yes it makes perfect sense. Not only did Humans evolve the Ape also evolved. The species that modern day Ape and man evolved from and all there subsequent intermediate forms are extinct. Get it firmly in your head you are A cousin to great Apes. No offense.
Is this question worthy of a star?
Or does it just piss you off?

you say that humans evolved and the ape evolved and you also say that humans evolved from apes. so the ape evolved into two different things? how can one species evolve into 2 different species? and further more where did the original ape come from? did it just appear out of no where? just face it, your kind and my kind will never understand each other so just give it up all ready.

First of all we didn't evolve from apes. We and the apes evolved from a common ancestor. Which was probably very much like an ape. Secondly, apes are still evolving! Given time, millions of years, they might evolve into more intelligent beings! Some people used to think black people in Africa were evolving apes, but not as far evolved as us. (No kidding! They really did! This was a justification for slavery.) Some species have been around for tens of millions of years without changing at all. Alligators and crocodiles, for instance, have been just the same since the time of the dinosaurs. So why didn't they evolve? There is a part of evolutionary theory called 'punctuated equilibrium' that explains why part of a population evolves and part doesn't. The way it works (according to the theory) is that a population of animals evolves to match their environment. Once they do, they stop changing because they are 'perfectly' evolved for their environment. Then some group of these animals leave that environment--for instance, the valley where they live is crowded so they migrate over the hills into the next valley. The environment there is different, so those few of those animals who are better suited to the new environment have an advantage, so they they begin evolving again until they once more reach 'equilibrium' with their new environment. So now you have two species, or subspecies, where before you had only one. In fact this was what led Darwin to this theory in the first place. He visited the Galapagos Islands where each island had a slightly different variety of turtles, birds, etc., because the environments of these islands were all a little different. Meanwhile those crocodiles, who have been in equilibrium with their environment for all this time, haven't changed much in 40 million years, because their environment hasn't changed!

I don't believe that people evolved from the primate family but we did at least evolve. There is no question about it that other species have evolved at one point or another. Every generation people are getting smarter (or dumber) hence that's evolving.

You lie.
King Monkey master of the 72 transformation the great sage equal of Heaven. Still lives.
He ate the peaches of longevity and ate Lao Tzu' pills of immortality not to mention he tricked Lord Yama and crossed out his name from the book of death.
Look for yourself

It doesn't make me mad just sorry for people that really believe that. I,m a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and HE created me.There is and never will be any proof that we came from Monkeys. Although some people act like apes.I guess that's why some people believe that we came from monkeys.

So, you didn't finish school. Well, that's O.K. you still have time to learn. Do they have public libraries in your town? Go do some reading on the subject and you will find out that some things are no longer mysteries.

agreed. another point is just because you evolved from something, doesnt mean it cant exist.
ex:
Dogs evolved from Wolves. this is a fact. we have observation and fossil records. wolves still exist.
edit for booellis:
evolution occurs within a gene pool. if a primate splits up into multiple gene pools each gene pool will evlolve into something different.
