Movie name? Saw it a few years ago, possibly Disney?

Question

I can't quite remember what it was called. 

It was an cartoon animation, like a lot of Disney movies, but I'm not sure it it was disney. 

There were fairy-like little people who lived in the forest in a tree, and people wanted to come bulldose down the tree.

I haven't seen it in a few years, and it's very child friendly...

That's all I can remember... can anyone PLEASE PLEASE tell me the title of this movie!

"Ferngully: The Last Rainforest"

A combination of a few of the answers above.

Not Disney, but rather an early attempt by one of their former top animators to go it alone. He suceeded with the Fivel and All Dogs go to Heaven series as well. I think his name was Don Bluth.

The Last Rainforest ... it isn't Disney, but it is still very cool.  It has Robin Williams voicing the Bat (Batty Coda) and Tim Curry as the voice of the Hexxus (the pollution)
