Is it more "green" to buy a projector or a flat screen tv?

I want to upgrade my TV room. I'm torn between buying a high quality projector and buying a high quality TV, so I want to find out which solution is more environmentally friendly.

LED DLP, or LED Backlit LCD is the most green of the large screens.

OLed is the most green of the small screens.

No TV is Green. So make your decision based on what works in your space. The TV's with the least Mercury use the most power and the TV's with the most Mercury use least power.

The Samsung LED DLP is probably the Greenest TV money can by but you are limited to 52 inches and the brightness is a bit low for Daylight viewing. Fine for controlled lighting environments.

Drake is right. Some flavor of LED is the most green in regards to power consumption. Be sure to take a good look at the total life cycle of the product and not just your daily use.

A projector has a smaller footprint, but over the life of the equipment you'll need to change bulbs and perhaps some other parts as well. What is in the bulbs and how many you need to change to keep the product working as long as an LED is something to consider.

Buy a whole out of work writers guiled for some star bucks coffee and some Dunkin Donuts to put on a play for you ever night . They must need the money , as they must be so humorous . TV sux without them. Environmentally friendly . Both will be here in a dump site long after you are gone LOL LOL :o)
