Storing luggage at Penn Station (or nearby)?

I believe that there are no lockers in Penn Station but if you check the sites below, the information here may be very helpful.

I'm not too sure what you are asking but I'll try to answer 1) if you are looking for a place to hold your bags while you are out and about, Penn Station does not have a place for that. An alternative would be to have your hotel bell desk hold your bags after you check out. Usually no cost for that service, except a tip of course. 2) If you lost your bags at Penn, you should contact the carrier where you lost them. I know the Long Island Rail Road lost and found is located at Penn. Not sure about NJ Transit or Amtrak. I hope one of these answers is what you were looking for.

Would you happen to know a place where I can store my luggage at Penn Station (or somewhere close to it) from 12PM until 3:00AM (same day)? I am taking a very early train and don't want to have to pay for another night hotel if I can help it. Thanks in advance for your reply!

There are lockers in the Port Authority Station but you need a ticket that shows you're leaving new york. Im not sure if it works with train tickets though.

Lockers in NYC are tough after 9/11; most have been shut down.

I wouldn't count on it. Try a cheap hostel.
