For those who think Brady's injury is fake..?
Kindly explain to me the advantage you think this would give the Pats.
I just don't understand how this could help in any way whatsoever.
The Giants will prepare for a healthy Brady, no matter what.
Do you guys really think the Giants would even consider for a second that Brady might not play? HELL NO! And they certainly won't slack off thinking Brady won't be 100%.
So where is the advantage of faking an injury? I just can't see it. If he was hurt and they said he was fine, then he did not play, well, that could be advantageous but not the other way around.
If the Giants are prepared for a healthy Brady, I assume they would be prepared for Matt...as he is very similiar to Brady anyway. Not sure how they would prepare differently for Matt, not enough tape on the guy anyway.
Also, I think all this does is make the Giants aware that maybe if they step on Brady's bad foot, "oops, my bad". So even if there was no injury, there may be!

I love the Pats and Belichick but this is just the kind of thing that they would do.
1. No matter what you say, the Giants have to consider that Brady might be hurt and therefore plan accordingly.
2. Belichick does this sort of thing (placing players on injury watch or probable lists) every week. It just messes with the other team.
3. The most important thing of all - it takes the focus off Randy Moss and his troubles for a bit and puts it on someone else who would be willing to take a little pressure off his number 1 receiver.
Belichick is a genius. It's just the type of thing he would do.

i agree with what a lot of people have already said
one if he plays bad he has something to blame
two Belichick it just like that
and lastly it MIGHT make the Giants ease off a bit thinking that Brady might not play
im sure they will prepare as if they are facing him no matter what but still its different when you are preparing and you here the other teams QB isn't playing
it changes things up a bit because now you have to consider the backup as a possiability as playing as well

Why would they make him probable every week for 2 years.... even though everyone knows he is fine, and prepare for a 100% Brady. Belichick is weird like that, but he is a winner and a genius.

Somewhere in the Meadowlands the Giants staff is secretly preparing for Matt Cassel.

Of coourse its fake. If the Giants think Brady is injured they might formulate a gameplan to account for that. I'm not sure how, but any disinformation is a good idea. Its all very Tsun-zu..or something like that.

they said on the news tonight, out of foxboro, that he has a high ankle sprain, received in the AFC championship game. He said he should be find by gametime. the only way he'd not play would be if he's on a stretcher

I think it's real, just not serious. Just something else for ESPN and the rest of these media nitwits to harp on for a week.

The Giants will think he's not 100%...Therefore they will be overconfident...just before they find out that Brady is in fact healthy...

They injury will heal, but he might walk with a limp.
