  • Is Tony Dungy a muppet?

He is one of the best coaches ever, but the camera seems to turn him into a muppet. He is painfully horrible as an analyst.

  • Should the NFL add more games?

I think not...but an educated strong argument for adding more games may sway me.

I think preseason games are good for evaluating the FNG's and deciding who stays. You change things and rush this process and the wrong guys might get cut. Not just that, but I think 16 games is plenty to decide who deserves a shot in the playoffs. 2 more games could make a difference to some marginal teams, but the odds are extremely high that it won't make a difference in who wins the Superbowl. Yes, there will always be anomalies and a team could slide into the playoffs with that 18th game and win the Superbowl. But it would be just what I said...an anomaly.

Want to get in the playoffs? Win more games period. Whether the season is 10 games or 20.

The only legitimate reason the NFL has for adding more games would be more revenue. Cash is King!

  • What is the best brand of house paint?

After failing so many times, I thought I would share what I have found to be best. I know that I searched on here and came up with a lot of advertising.

I can assure you I am not advertising anything, just want to give my opinion on what has finally worked best for me.

Best Paint for walls - Kilz casual colors. It is not exactly one coat as advertised, but does a good job and was VERY impressed that the color of the paint actually matched the color on the little paper showing you the color.

Best paint for wood inside home - Sherwin Williams Pro Classic. Color matches sample sheet and it goes on smoother than any other paint I have tried. Only need to use lightly and brush strokes are non-existent.

Best primer - For walls, no primer is needed if you use Kilz paint, just scrub wall very well. For painting stained wood, first use steel wool to scratch off the glossy part of it. Clean, and then use Zinsser 123 primer in a spray can. It will go on smooth without the dust that other spray primers have. The drips will dry flat and it sticks to almost anything.

Paint brushes - Ace hardware brand brushes are the best I have found so far. Just short of amazing. Use over and over...

Like I said, I am not selling anything, just wanted to share what I have found to be best. I have spent a lot of money at Lowes buying the premium Valspar paint....it is not bad, but not exactly great either. Colors never look like they do on the sample sheet.

Also, the cheapest Wal Mart branded paint is not bad at all for walls. I can't remember which company makes it, but it is a big brand and is the same paint for less money with wal mart label.

    Hope this helps someone.

PS. The Sherwin Williams Pro Classic paint is expensive, but worth it. Here it runs $43 a gallon, but I was able to talk them down to $33. It seems to go a long way and I think is actually worth the full price.

  • Does anyone think 47 million in guaranteed money is a good idea for a rookie?

Stafford could go out tonight and step on a banana peel and rip his ACL to shreds. He will still get paid 47 million, even though he would never even play in an NFL game.

I just don't understand the draft.

If I were in charge of a team's draft, I would trade down heavily so I would not be forced into a high guaranteed contract. I would build a team from the second round on and avoid the first round all together. Free agents and 2 plus round draft picks...I could build a team. Without having to bet the farm on a 21 yr old kid.

    Just my thoughts.

  • Will Kyle Orton do better now that he shaved his porn stash?

He looks much better without that ugly lip fur.

I think he will be a great starter in Denver and the Bears will then know how horrible a decision they made to get Cutler.

  • Anyone else think Jay Cutler is being ridiculous?

He is a 24-25 year old kid, who apparently thinks his crap does not stink.

My real question is...what has Jay done in his career to earn the right to ignore his employer and demand a trade by default.

I say he is good, but not that good. I don't understand why he gets so much credit when other QB's that are more talented do not.

  • I have to admit I was wrong..?

I am a Charger fan and claimed they were done. Never thought they would beat the Bucs and did not think the Broncos would lose to the Bills.

How big is the game in San Diego now? WOW!!

  • Am I a disloyal Sooner fan?

I am a Sooner fan and have been for 30 plus years. Yet, I have to admit that I think Colt McCoy should have won the Heisman tonight.

I don't think there is anyone else out there that helped their team succeed more than Colt did.

Don't get me wrong, I am certainly all for Bradford...hell, he went to my High School..but while I think he was important to the Sooners, I just don't think he was as important as Colt was to the Horns.

Does my honest opinion strike anyone as being in the traitor category? I hope not...I am just being honest.

  • Fiesta bowl -Longhorn fans?

I am OU fan... Not here to talk trash, I think you were as deserving as we were, but somebody had to go. I would be mad if it were the other way, so I understand.

My question is this though. It is a serious question and not meant to talk trash.

If OU wins and goes to the NT game and Texas does not get to go with them.... Then the Big 12 slot for the Fiesta bowl is open to either Texas or TTU. Since TTU won the 'head to head" matchup, would the Longhorn's bow out gracefully?

I know that Texas will end up in the game...but because of all the talk about the head to head with OU...just wondering how you guys feel about getting picked over TTU?

I am hoping the NT game is OU/Texas. And if OU loses to Mizzou, then I will say Hook em' Horns and root for your guys all the way against the SEC.

  • Real estate lawsuit question.?

House built in 1995 - located in Oklahoma City.

We purchased the house in 2005.

In the 3 years we have lived here, I have discovered that the house was built with ALL expenses spared.

I have been trying to find something wrong that would legally entitle me to sue the builder and previous owners. I believe the house is not up to code in several places and these shortcuts have caused major problems.

    1. The roof has nothing but shingles...no tar paper. Found this out after ice storm. Ice melted and pushed water under the shingles and into the house...everywhere.

    2. Many many bricks have cracked or simply fallen off. This has led to next discovery.

    3. The house was not wrapped with any vapor barrier on the outside sheathing. They simply bricked right against bare wood. Plus they used old brick that simply soaks up water. This will cause the house to fall soon enough, but right now, it causes the house to feel sticky and humid inside. Unbearable.

    4. The foundation is split right down the middle of the house. Discovered this upon pulling up carpet to put down the $2500 wood floor I bought. Well, can't install that with a severally unlevel foundation.. With the carpet padding, we never noticed the floor was not level. Upon discovery, my mind almost snapped...as this was simply one more major thing upon a long list of other major things.

The plumbing is bad, the electrical is bad....every single thing is bad.

I sent my wife to buy this house while I stayed in San Diego. Like an idiot, I relied on the inspection and the appraisal. Both were extremely fraudulant in hindsight.

Now I am stuck with a 160K in mortgage balance on a house that is probably worth 100K in current condition.

I don't have a subprime mortgage...I am not in that category, yet I am in the same boat.

If anyone has any ideas about whether or not a lawsuit is possible pls let me know. As I don't know how else I will ever get out of this thing.

    Thanks,

  • Most intelligent, respectful and arrogant free NFL fans?

Ok, we all know which team has the most disrespectful, arrogant and non-intelligent fans.....Cowboys.

But I want to know who everyone thinks has the most intelligent and respectful fans.

I have a team in mind....just wondering if anyone agrees.

  • Who would like to see a rookie pay scale?

While I am all about guys getting paid well, I am not all about them getting paid well before they prove they belong.

I am always amazed that they number one draft pick gets gauranteed money in excess of what most NFL guys have.

Just not sure how we got to the point of wagering heavily on guys coming out of college. It seems that more flop than prosper, yet teams are still paying thru the nose for the possibility that these guys prosper.

It also affects the draft order, because the teams can negotiate with the players before the draft.

If a pay scale were in place, the negotiations would have nothing to do with it and teams could draft based on what their needs really are. And they don't risk tying up a lot of money on a bust.

Put the first 2 years on a pay scale with heavy incentives for playing time, and let them earn it. After two years, a team will know for sure if they want to invest heavily in someone.

    What do you think?

  • Is it wrong to respect Belichick?

I am not a Pats fan, but I am a Belichick fan.

I have always respected him for putting together winning teams that play with the 'team' concept better than the others.

I have also respected him for toying with the NFL on the injury reporting rule. It is a dumb rule and he exploited it ...legally.

He may have taken his exploitations too far with the spygate incident...but if you don't push boundaries you will never know where they are.

I don't feel that breaking a rule in the first 1/2 of the first game of the season takes anything away from the accomplishment of going undefeated during the regular season.

Apparently I am in the minority.

I think if the Pats would have gone 11-5 and lost in the first or second round of the playoffs...well, spygate would not even be recognizable word.

I would just like to say that I appluad Bill and the Patriots for striving for perfection. Somebody has to.

  • Thank you Steelers...?

The Steelers came out and said that the Pats taping had no effect on the outcome of games against the Steelers, including 2 Championship games.

About time someone makes a statement like this. Hopefully, this will help this whole thing go away. The past is the past.

Let's move forward and not worry about what could have been.

    Thoughts?

  • I have the answer to who will win the Superbowl. (satire)?

Yahoo wins - record number of hits on Yahoo Answers due to breaking the one million mark on the "who will win the Superbowl" question.

The Network will also win, because 1 billion people will tune in with high hopes of the Pats losing...cause nobody likes a winner these days. 1 billion people will also contemplate suicide right after the Superbowl, since the world surely must be done...since the Pats won!

Sorry, I broke the rule and did not ask a question...won't happen again...just couldn't resist.

  • Jeremy Shockey out, Giants in SB, coincidence?

Jeremy is from my home town of Ada, OK, but decided to go to Miami for College...so I have always considered him a trader...

But to the point of my question- The Giants have been terrific without him. I am surprised I have not seen this aspect mentioned anywhere, but does anyone think that he may have been a detriment to the team...with his loud mouth and sometimes mediocre play?

I think Jeremy is arrogant enough to actually have the thought run through his head that the Giants can't beat New England without him....

Anyone feeling me on this, or am I all alone?

  • For those who think Brady's injury is fake..?

Kindly explain to me the advantage you think this would give the Pats.

I just don't understand how this could help in any way whatsoever.

The Giants will prepare for a healthy Brady, no matter what.

Do you guys really think the Giants would even consider for a second that Brady might not play? HELL NO! And they certainly won't slack off thinking Brady won't be 100%.

So where is the advantage of faking an injury? I just can't see it. If he was hurt and they said he was fine, then he did not play, well, that could be advantageous but not the other way around.

  • Where are all the people?

..that claimed the Giants hurt themselves by going all out against the Pats in that game a few weeks ago.

Personally, I thought it helped them...but my view was very unpopular at the time.

  • I think the giants will win because ______?

This is not a trash talking question. Personally I think there is no beating the Patriots...and I am not a fan.

I just want to hear some intelligent answers as to why the Giants will win. And not just because....

Can we please have some intelligent answers? Please.

I am certain that a lot of people will ignore my plea for intelligence and go ahead and say the Pats are cheats...etc..

I don't want to hear that. I just want to hear intelligent commentary about why the Giants can or will win.

    Thanks
