Am I a disloyal Sooner fan?

I am a Sooner fan and have been for 30 plus years. Yet, I have to admit that I think Colt McCoy should have won the Heisman tonight.

I don't think there is anyone else out there that helped their team succeed more than Colt did.

Don't get me wrong, I am certainly all for Bradford...hell, he went to my High School..but while I think he was important to the Sooners, I just don't think he was as important as Colt was to the Horns.

Does my honest opinion strike anyone as being in the traitor category? I hope not...I am just being honest.

Loyalty is one thing. Perspective is another. I am a Gator fan and I feel the same as you.

OMG! absolutely not, you arent a traitor. I personally though Colt should've won since he runs the ball and running the ball is football in my eyes. I mean, I'm happy Sam Bradford won because I too am a huge Sooners fan. But there's nothing wrong with you wanting McCoy to win. I don't like the Longhorns but I'm very happy Bradford won though. Just because you wanted McCoy to win doesnt mean you're disloyal, you are still loyal to the Sooners. The three men tonight were all great QBs.

properly definitely I see no undertaking with the Eagles followers being proud. enable's see we had McNabb benched. We had matters particularly some the season. And nevertheless made the playoffs. i do no longer comprehend the place you come back up with Eagles followers wanting McNabb to be long previous. look on the different questions/answer on yahoo. If a team is taking part in undesirable. the pinnacle coach alongside with the qb get the blame. Philadelphia followers have interest for there activities communities. via the way in the process the 2007 season the Giants wanted Eli and there coach fired. And what did they finally end up doing? i'm going to help you out they gained the large Bowl. Chad-C: those posts do no longer propose something. you are able to no longer say that all and sundry of those posts have been from Eagles followers. I propose look on the Cowboy followers. how lots of them now are doing a similar component simply by fact the Eagles followers have been doing? that's notably relaxing staring at our team interior the playoffs. jointly as Dallas hasn't gained a playoff sport in 12 years. And with the large Bowl rings. can we get off the classic background?

I think you are a Texas fan hahahaha

The person who helped their team succeed the most was Harrell, no debating that. He led TEXAS TECH... YES TEXAS TECH to a 11-1 season and a tie for the Big 12 South and shockingly to a win over Texas.

Colt McCoy had a great season don't get me wrong but his backup threw in the mid 80's for pass completion so it is not like Colt was carrying them.

To answer you are not a traitor, you are just a little misinformed.

No, you're still a fan of the team. You love and hate on rival teams and coaches, but not on the players.

Also, Tim Tebow possibly helped his team more than Colt - obvisouly a lot of room for discussion there, though, and never a definite answer.

I say no, and agree that Tebow was a bigger team influence than either player. Buy the Heisman goes to the best player, and Bradford had an incredible year. His completion rate, TD's, and pocket poise won him the award tonight.

no your just being an honest and good football fan. That is how football fans should be. They should not be so blinded by their favorite team that they dont even think and consider other players/options and there real thoughts. For w/e reason i think Tim tebow should have won it. But man...this race was close as hell and all three were deserving.

  • No way!

I'm a Horns fan and happy for Bradford. It's called class and being unbiased.

    Thanks for the honesty though.

In all honesty it sounds like that your are a little bit jealous of Sam, maybe it is that he is getting all this attention that you aren't, maybe it's that you were a athlete at the same school and your jealousy is that he is just the man that you are not, or maybe its the fact that your wife is more in love with him then you and has secret fantasy's about him or maybe she just doesn't keep them that secret that you find your jealousy about him. I personally think OU wouldn't be what they are without Sam as QB, he leads his team to victory and he gives the victory credit to all his team mates, he is one of the most humble athlete's i know and i respect him for that.

It's not an MVP award, it goes to the best player. That being said, if you think McCoy is the better player, and you admit it, you are what I like to call "intelligent", and not a traitor.
