Fiesta bowl -Longhorn fans?
I am OU fan... Not here to talk trash, I think you were as deserving as we were, but somebody had to go. I would be mad if it were the other way, so I understand.
My question is this though. It is a serious question and not meant to talk trash.
If OU wins and goes to the NT game and Texas does not get to go with them.... Then the Big 12 slot for the Fiesta bowl is open to either Texas or TTU. Since TTU won the 'head to head" matchup, would the Longhorn's bow out gracefully?
I know that Texas will end up in the game...but because of all the talk about the head to head with OU...just wondering how you guys feel about getting picked over TTU?
I am hoping the NT game is OU/Texas. And if OU loses to Mizzou, then I will say Hook em' Horns and root for your guys all the way against the SEC.

Excellent point. I had never thought about that. Shows you how backwards and upside down college football is.
WAIT!!! I have a crazy idea!
A PLAYOFF!!!! holy cow
12 team playoff it could work. Honestly though, the Big-12 this year is a perfect reason why we need a playoff. I'm sure next year we'll have yet another reason.
Best of luck to OU, I'm a big Utah fan. I saw what OU did to TCU compared to what Utah did to them...it wasn't even close. Oklahoma deserves to be in the NT....problem is, so does Texas.

The fact is, they won't have to worry about it. The way that our wacky system works, Texas gets the nod ahead of TTU to play my Buckeyes in the Fiesta Bowl. Texas is ranked ahead of TTU in the BCS, which is your tie-breaker, the whole reason Oklahoma is going to the Big 12 title game. Another factor is, who was more impressive? Who beat who, and by how much? Texas only lost to TTU on the last play. It was no contest for Oklahoma to beat Texas Tech either. It's not a matter of "if". We already know what's going to happen, unless Mizzou completely screws everyone over.

well since head to head obviously didnt work out for texas and ou... i doubt it will work for texas and ttu.
tech should have a chance but it will most likely not happen. majority of people would want to see texas play instead of ttu

Great question! Texas should go because they are the better team. They give the Big-12 the best chance to win- just like WE give the Big-12 the best chance to win the National Championship.
I pity the fool team that has to play pissed off Texas! Too bad it isn't USC!

in reality, they won't could worry approximately it. the way that our wacky gadget works, Texas gets the nod in basic terms before TTU to play my Buckeyes interior the Fiesta Bowl. Texas is ranked in basic terms before TTU interior the BCS, it particularly is your tie-breaker, the full reason Oklahoma is going to the great 12 identify pastime. yet another element is, who replaced into extra magnificent? Who beat who, and by potential of how lots? Texas in basic terms lost to TTU on the final play. It replaced into no contest for Oklahoma to triumph over Texas Tech the two. that is not a rely of "if". We already understand what's going to ensue, till Mizzou thoroughly screws anybody over.

i wish oregon state had won
we would have had a rematch with Texas in the Fiesta Bowl. I am not angry at Texas, but I like it when I see USC play one of the best teams in the country.

We've all learned that what happens on the field really doesn't matter as much as when it happens (See Cotton Bowl in October). Tech probably deserves to be in a BCS bowl as much as Texas or OU. Unfortunatly, the BCS only allows 2 teams from one conference. Remember that Tech beat Texas on the last play of the game in Lubbock. What happened to Tech the next week and then almost losing to Baylor in Lubbock last week killed any argument they have with the current system we have.

I will root for the Big Twelve over any SEC team, and my favorite team isn't even a big twelve school.
