I think the giants will win because ______?

This is not a trash talking question. Personally I think there is no beating the Patriots...and I am not a fan.

I just want to hear some intelligent answers as to why the Giants will win. And not just because....

Can we please have some intelligent answers? Please.

I am certain that a lot of people will ignore my plea for intelligence and go ahead and say the Pats are cheats...etc..

I don't want to hear that. I just want to hear intelligent commentary about why the Giants can or will win.

Thanks

Update:

Thank you Omar for your intelligent answer. Appreciate it.

Update 2:

Thank you Mr. Walken.. good answer.

Because the Giants pass rush is one of the best in the league and if they can get to Brady they can slow down the Patriots offense. If you can make the Patriots on dimensional you can pt 8 men in the box and stop the running game. If you do this you can keep the Patriots to 17-23 points.

The Giants offense has been clicking recently and they have enough weapons to put up a decent amount of points. They scored the most points against the Patriots in week 17 and can do it again by keep the New England defense off balance by mixing up run and pass and to whom.

The special teams for the Giants has been good and if they can make a big play in a close game they can swing the momentum

Finally they have nothing to lose, no one thought they would even make the Super Bowl and no one is picking them to win it, They have a chip on their shoulder and proved in week17 they can play with the Patriots. ANd right now they are hot and a hot team is tough to cool down. That's how they can beat the Patriots.

I think the Giants will win because they have improved immensely since the loss at home by 3 points to the Pats. The Giants have been the hottest team in the playoffs and Eli has been mistake free against better defenses than the Patriots (Tampa Bay and Green Bay). In the season finale Ahmad Bradshaw did not play and the Giants didn't really have a good running game. Bradshaw will play in the Super Bowl and he has been better than Jacobs in the playoffs.

Yes the Pats are undefeated but the Giants have won an NFL record 10 straight road games. The past 2 games the Giants defense has really stepped allowing just 13 points combined to the Packers and Cowboys in the 2nd half (those teams were 2nd and 4th in the NFL in scoring this season). The Giants secondary has stepped up limiting big time receivers such as Joey Galloway, Terrell Owens, and Greg Jennings.

The Giants are very good against the run, they held Marion Barber to 10 carries for 29 yards in the 2nd half, and Ryan Grant to 13 carries for 29 yards for the game (remember that the previous week against Seattle Grant ran for 200+ yards). So I think the Giants will contain Maroney (in week 17 he had 19 carries for 46 yards). Randy Moss has been basically a no show for the Pats in the postseason, and if he does that in the Super Bowl the Giants will definitely win. The game comes down to the Giants controlling the Patriots passing game, enough so that the Giants can outscore them. I don't think the Patriots will be able to handle the Giants offense. (Yes the Pats gave up just 12 to San Diego but LT, Gates, and Rivers their best 3 players on offense were all injured and Rivers was the only one of the 3 to play significantly in the game, he's having surgery on his torn ACL this offseason by the way).

Bradshaw and Jacobs will gain yards, Manning will be mistake free (no turnovers) and the Giants defense will hold the Pats offense enough for a 28-24 Giants win. The better defensive team will win.

    Here's intelligent answers....

Eli Manning is the best QB in the playoffs...Before you start freaking out, look at the stats. Eli is 3-0 ON THE ROAD, has thrown 8 TDs and 0 INTS. Brady has 5 TDs and 3 INTS (in one less game granted).

The Giants haven't lost on the road since Week 1, and actually set a record with 10 consecutive road wins this year. The Patriots beat the Giants in New York.

Brady's only weakness is pressure. The Giants have the best pash rushing defensive line in the league, hands down. When Brady's pressured, he makes mistakes. When he is back there standing like a statue for 7 seconds (like what has happened a few times this year) he throws TDs.

The Giants won't give up another deep TD to Moss. Did you see how the Chargers limited Moss? The Jags did it too. They play a deep safety which spies Moss and doesn't let him go deep. In Week 17 when they played, Moss was wide open two consecutive plays. He dropped the first, and scored the second.

Honestly, the Patriots are the best team in NFL history (not a fan either) and I can't see them losing to anybody. But if it happens, these are the reason why.

They have the heart .No matter that the Pats made history with their perfect record, no one can really say that the NY Giants will lose. Many thought that would happen with the Green Bay Packers , who were heavily favored. I wonder how many people lost a fortune on that football game from football pools! The Giants have size on their side and they don't have the pressure that the Pats have to live up to. It's all about teamwork and playing your best , hoping and wanting to win , which both teams do of course. There has to be teamwork, hopefully no injuries and some luck. Some players just aren't team players and that is so important as one or two doesn't make a team. I actually think the Pats are at a disadvantage because they haven't lost a game YET. I always say "Never say Never" so I believe the Superbowl game is up for grabs to those who put their heart and soul in it. For sure there will be a winner and a loser and I think it's anyones game. Don't count the Giants out like many did with the Packers. That perfect record is made to be broken sooner or later. No one is infallible. I say the game is up for the taking ! Can't wait to watch it!

Source(s): Not a fan for either team, but my nephew and brother are Giants fans. I watched my brother get discouraged when the score was tied and went into OT. I told him that real fans watch their team and support them .win or lose. He countted them out but I didn't! I went to the kitchen to get some water and missed that winning field goal even though the last two were bad kicks.

As a Bills fan, I've been hoping for a Patriots' loss since game 1 of the season. That said, there are two players who, if they have a good game, could spell disaster for the New England Patriots. Who are they? Defensive Ends Osi Umenyiora and Michael Strahan. If Eli's offense plays the way it's been playing, it will come down to pressure on Brady, as was mentioned by a few other people. I believe that these two guys have become the heart of the defense, and everyone knows that defense wins championships. With every sack, hurry, or tackle for loss that Umenyiora or Strahan gets, the defense will gain confidence and come that much closer to ruining the Pats' 19-0 season.

As a Bills fan, I'm hoping for a last-second field goal try from Stephen Gostkowski to go wide right.

I think this game can go either way.

The Patriots can win because, well, they're the Patriots. You don't get to 18-0 by chance.

The Giants can win if their defense can keep the Pats from breaking the big plays. Putting pressure on the quarterback and guard against the long pass is the name of the game here. They need to look at the defense that San Diego was playing that held the Pats to 21 points. Couple that with a decent offensive performance from Eli Manning, and the Giants can come away with the W.

By the way, I just saw a news report on the Yahoo home page that said Brady was seen limping in a cast Monday. If he is indeed injured, then the Giants will have a much easier time...

well i think the pats are going to win but the giants have a chance and of course that is why they play the game. the giants have some chances to win and here they are.

They have a good d-line that can get pressure on you by on sending 5 people and dropping back 6 which is huge because then you can get pressure, plus cover which the eagles did and the chargers did and of course both teams had some success vs the pats offense.

The patriots defense is old the Giants can win be controling the ball by pounding it with Jacobs and then Bradshaw, they can tire out the defense and get 8 men in the box and then go to toomer or plaxico.

If this injury is true to tom's foot it will make it very tough for him to get as much strength behind the ball which can kill some underneath passes because they will float there and allow a giants defender to get to the ball.

and finally the giants are on a hot streak just as the steelers were when they won the superbowl, a team like that, that doesnt turn it over and can get pressure on the qb with just their line and some blitzers once in a while can go a lot of stuff. plus their d-coordinator is fantastic with his blitzes of course that is because he learned from the master jim johnson! yes im an eagles fan.

I think the Giants will win because they can get pressure on Brady and have a balanced offense to keep the game close. They lost 38-35 in week 17 and that was the last game that Eli got picked off in. If they can run the ball well (125 yards or more) and not trade TDs for field goals, they have a shot.

It's not just a matter of outscoring NE, you have to limit their possessions.

    1. Tom Brady is hiding the severity of his foot injury.

    2. The Patriots run defense and special teams are very beatable.

    3. Plaxico Burress is completely unpredictable. He's equally capable of superstar performances and sub-par performances.

    4. The previous game between the teams could have gone either way.

    5. Richard Seymour, Rodney Harrison, and Vince Wilfork are more interested in trash talking than winning. They have lost focus and self-discipline.

    5. The Giants are the only team this year to score 35 points against the Pats.

    6. Tom Coughlin will thaw out in Glendale, Arizona.

    7. The football gods do not want a team to have a 19-0 perfect season.

    8. Brandon Jacobs

    9. Brandon Jacobs

I think the Giants will win because they're in high spirits and they are motivated. They are on the big stage and has something to play for. They aren't pointing fingers in the locker room or having any outside distractions.

Eli Manning is making smart decisions at the quarterback position, and should be just as efficient in the Superbowl if he doesn't try too hard and take everything on by himself.

The team should also be motivated by the fact that they where just that close to ending their perfect season, and now they have another chance at the best time possible.
