What is the best brand of house paint?

After failing so many times, I thought I would share what I have found to be best. I know that I searched on here and came up with a lot of advertising.

I can assure you I am not advertising anything, just want to give my opinion on what has finally worked best for me.

Best Paint for walls - Kilz casual colors. It is not exactly one coat as advertised, but does a good job and was VERY impressed that the color of the paint actually matched the color on the little paper showing you the color.

Best paint for wood inside home - Sherwin Williams Pro Classic. Color matches sample sheet and it goes on smoother than any other paint I have tried. Only need to use lightly and brush strokes are non-existent.

Best primer - For walls, no primer is needed if you use Kilz paint, just scrub wall very well. For painting stained wood, first use steel wool to scratch off the glossy part of it. Clean, and then use Zinsser 123 primer in a spray can. It will go on smooth without the dust that other spray primers have. The drips will dry flat and it sticks to almost anything.

Paint brushes - Ace hardware brand brushes are the best I have found so far. Just short of amazing. Use over and over...

Like I said, I am not selling anything, just wanted to share what I have found to be best. I have spent a lot of money at Lowes buying the premium Valspar paint....it is not bad, but not exactly great either. Colors never look like they do on the sample sheet.

Also, the cheapest Wal Mart branded paint is not bad at all for walls. I can't remember which company makes it, but it is a big brand and is the same paint for less money with wal mart label.

Hope this helps someone.

PS. The Sherwin Williams Pro Classic paint is expensive, but worth it. Here it runs $43 a gallon, but I was able to talk them down to $33. It seems to go a long way and I think is actually worth the full price.

Behr is definitely an outstanding paint, be certain besides the fact which you're portray is sparkling and dry. the way you describe it peeling off tells me that the incorrect primer replaced into used. once you purchase your paint in basic terms ask on the paint shop which primer you will need.
