Happened to you?

So my step sister is currently ttc.

Her last period was around the 26th of Decemiber.

For the past 2 weeks she has had extreme breast tenderness, has been unusually hungry, moderate cramping and dealing with bouts of exhaustion.

Her cycles are long, around 35 days.

I took her to get a blood test today and it came back negative.

Could she have tested too early? (we didn't talk to a doctor, just got the test and results and left)

Has this happened to you and you were still pregnant?

She's positive she is.

Well it's hard sometimes with those tests. A friend of mine did the test 3 times and finally it came out positive. It all depends on the level hormones in your body that they find in your urine or by blood test! There's always a possibility that they did the test wrong and she is pregnant but i also know from experience that i was under levels of stressed and felt like i was pregnant and even missed my period but wasn't!!

Good luck and hope she is :)

Have her take a test again in a few days, it may have been to early to detect any hormones. My first test came back negative, but I just knew that I was pregnant and the test I took three days later was definitely positive! Good luck !

  • No, she didn't test too early. A blood test will usually tell if she was pregnant. Urine tests may not be accurate, but usually the blood test determines everything. I took 4 urine tests (at home and the doc) and they told me I was NOT pregnant... a blood test determined that I was. Blood tests are accurate most of the time.

It is too early to test.

She should test if she misses her next period, at least 35 days after December 26.

It is still possible, but not likely if the blood test came back neg. She may be giving herself false symptoms because she is so eager to concieve. believe me i know wha she is going through i am also ttc and it is a difficult time. but then again you never know, if she really thinks she is a woman knows.
