how would you stop your mind running 100m/h, and help your self to slow down, specially when trying to go to?

when trying to go to sleep, it's few night in the raw that I can't fall asleep, and i just keep reading book till late. Well, than I'm so tired in the morning...Any suggestons?...

    my trick when the holidays are over...

    stay awake for 36 hours

    only sleep at 10 or 11 pm

    wake up 7 or 8 am

    it should get your body clock working again. and make sure you eat red meat. i felt tired for a long time and didnt know why... it ended up being iron deffiency!

    Whenever a worrying thought enters you mind just think to yourself I don't care. Sometime a little bit of apathy can help you disconnect from your thoughts. A thing that I do to go to sleep is just think about one topic only like a basket of kittens. Then eventually you mind will stray from the topic you chose and start to drift away. Simply return to the original topic and this wil intensify the effect. and then just let go of the thought and let your mind take control.
