how to dual boot ubuntu and windows xp?
i watched a video in youtube.it told me to go to Gpartion and create space for ubuntu.but it looks like i have 3 partions.can anybody tell me wat to do???

One setup would be a partition for / and a partition for home, then a swap partition.
Another option would be everything on / with a swap partition.
the advantage to having home on a separate partition is that if you have to format and reinstall, or want to try a different version of linux, all your program and desktop settings, documents, etc, remain untouched on their own partition.
To find out how much space to allocate to swap, google ubuntu swap partition size.
(the 7gig you have free is more than enough)
So, once you've got that sorted, and assuming you have xp set up and running the way you want it, boot to a livecd and install, or run the installer from boot.
(don't install linux then windows, or it will take over your boot sector and dual boot won't work)
it will confirm your partition setup when installing. you can even use the installer to configure the partitions.
