Is anyone else tapping into their neighbour's unsecured wireless network?

I found a sweet spot in the middle of my living room where I get a very low signal, but it is still pretty good for general use. Just wondering if that is common?

Update:

How can it be illegal if they don't secure their own network? It's not like I am pirating cable or anything. I'm sure they might not be happy with me if they found out, but that is their own fault for not using a secure network. I doubt they could press charges.

It's also illegal. The others on this unsecured network can see everything you're doing.

I just went with a wireless laptop recently and noticed that i am picking up two other signals along with my own. They are somewhat weak-but i still can connect on them. If i can figure out a way to "boost the signal" im gonna cancel my own service and just ride these others. Anyone know if their is some form of outside antenna you can get to boost your Wi-Fi? Something to maybe mount on the outside of the house to pick up the signals?

I live directly across from a shopping mall, i believe the signals are coming from there.
