Does anyone remember the children's hardcover book series with a family of children (7, I think)?

I believe it may have been published in the 50's or 60's. It had a yellow hardcover with either brown or black writing on it. An illustration on each cover and a few inside. It's not a Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew or Bobbsey Twins series. Any help or links would be appreciated.

Maybe the 'All of a Kind Family' series? It starts with 5 little girls and at the end of the 1st book a baby brother is born.

The books were written by Sidney Taylor.

Are you looking of Dick & Jane books? For 1 & 2nd graders to learn how to read? There were 3 children with a dog & cat. They were based in the '60 & '70's. Some of the books were yellow with black writing while others were blue and green.

Source(s): Learned to read from the books.

There was one series about a family called "The Hollisters" - I don't remember when they were written, but there were quite a few family members. Good luck!

Possibly "The Five Little Peppers"? The family had seven, but only five were kids.
