recently got my computer cleaned, had to re-install iTunes. Now my iPod doesn't recognize it. Help?
Okay, well, I just got my computer cleaned and fixed and stuff. And when I tried to re-install iTunes on my computer, that worked fine, but then there was nothing there. No music, video, nothing. I'm technically challenged and I can't figure out how to get my contents back on there? It's really frustrating me; I just got a gift card I want to use but I'm afraid to until I get this thing out of the way.
HELP ME PLEASE!!!
Ok, but how do I re sync it?
I know I sound stupid but I'm just not good at it.
Oh and yeah I plugged in my iPod but all it says is this stupid thing about erasing everything (NO!) and just transferring everything from the library to the iPod, and not vice versa.
GRRR. DRIVING ME NUTS!!!

If you plug your ipod in it might sync to your computer.
If not you might be able to copy the music on your ipod to your computer. Here is a link on how to do it if you own a pc:

If you have a mac: http://www.cnet.com/4520-7899_1-6488385-1.html
I read you have to have your ipod enabled for disk use. I'm not sure it will work if you didn't enable it for disk use.

If your computer was "cleaned" they may have deleted the iPod software which is why your computer no longer recognizes your iPod. You need to go here
http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/
and download the software drivers for your model of iPod.
Did you do a back-up of your music onto CD or DVD before you sent your computer to get fixed?
If not then the music should still be on your iPod - assuming you synced your iPod after you purchased the music.
It might also help if the next computer you get is a Mac.

That's how apple protects the music industry. make it harder for consumers to copy or they buy new copies.
they actually intended a 1 apple-to-1 iTunes policy.
I think you will have to resynchronize it which means erasing the contents of your ipod (unless there's somebody else knows a shortcut).
When you attach your iPod, there appears a new drive in My Computer. You can copy everything you need there (especially music). Back it up in your PC. Resynch. Add all back. painstaking but worked fine for me.

Uninstall the previous reproduction of iTunes. Make a clean one and upload the shuffle utility for it. Now you will possibly be able to desire to possibly make 2 copies of iTunes and function one set up for iPod video and the different the shuffle. be sure you call them so which you do no longer forget approximately.
