(a)Hg2(NO3)2(aq) + 2Kl(aq) --> Hg2 I2(s) + 2KNO3(aq) (b)FeSO4(aq) + Ba(OH)2(aq)---> Fe(OH)2 (s) (green) + BaSO4( (white) purely interchange the ions in the reactants area and u'll get the recent products! (yet that's no longer suited to all reactions, yet purely in few cases like this) frequently hydroxides/oxides/carbonates/ bicarbonates & sulphides of d-block factors are coluored precipitates. all Pb compounds different than for its nitrate are precipitates, (all nitrates/ acetates and ammonium salts are soluble in water).
