Hey E! It's been that way in Las Vegas, NV for as long as I can remember. No big deal. No problems. We used to give them a $20 and fill 'er up. Now we give them $30, and hope we get a lot! :o)

Here in California, we always pay for gas first then go get our change. Or, drop our credit card with the cashier then pick it up after pumping. I will only get gas if it's cheap and there is a credit card reader at the pump. It works out fine, once you get used to it. We haven't always worked this way.

In Pennsylvania, this has been the norm for years. Either prepay or use a credit card.

Some of the bigger stations have this but our smaller one doesn't. I can see how this will work until someone finds a way around it.
