Why doesn't Wendy's serve milkshakes??

I know they have a Frostie, but its just a frozen dessert. Sometimes I want a shake with my fries!

Since the frosties are a signature item on there menu, they won't ever have shakes.

Wendy's doesn't serve milkshakes because everyone else does. Arby's most capitalizes on milkshakes (followed by Mc Donald's I suppose). The reasoning behind the frosty is that it's different. This is similiar to how Burger King Serves Icees (sp?). The frosty is cosidered to be a specialty drink/frozen concoction, similar to the Sonic line of fun drinks. If you recall, Wendy's only introduced the Vanilla frosty in 2007. They have been expanding their menu quite a bit over the past few years. To me that says that if the vanilla frosty does as well as we all assume it will over the next 5 or so years, you might just come to see some flavors added, giving you a product similar to a milkshake.

Excited?.... It's the small things in life, right?

I think they want to be different from the other burger joints because, they're the only fast food restaurant that has frosties and fresh hamburgers instead of frozen hamburgers.
