So I put that for my status on fb today - the anniversary of my friend's death. My mom made a comment, knowing what I meant about some specific thing my friend and I were infamous for. Another friend wrote "but you are both so lucky!" I thought she meant for knowing the guy.. you know? then another friend wrote "happy anniversary to you both!" NOW... Here is my question: Do I hit GO and write "Umm. . . its the anniversary of a sad occasion, maybe the happy face threw you off". is that rude to 'correct' someone? or do I just ignore it? I have bad ettiquete, I need advise!!

Im going to a bridal shower for a friend of mine that I dont see too often anymore. She's very wealthy, lives in Beverly Hills area and has a very well to do family she is marrying into. They are lovely people and the friend is very down to earth, lots of fun.

OK - Here is my delima, I dont have a lot of money right now, but I want to hook her up with something special. I was thinking a Tiffany Mug ($30) and putting some cute things inside. I was thinking a sleep mask in white or Tiffany blue(or close to it) and some teas, a little votive candle and a little rolled up pair of Hankey Panky panties in lacy white. Kind of like a 'me time' thing... This could add up to about $60 total....I still need to buy a dress for the shower and the formal wedding. worth it? lame? will I be embarassed when she openes it? any other suggestions? I dont want to get her anything to really wear, wear- like good lingerie. I dont know her size anymore, she's got big boobs, but small everything else..maybe a stretch lace tube bra thing? anyway. Im kinda working it out, but suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

They are all oatmeal and applesauce (instead of fat) based - not too sweet, I let the fruit or added stuff add the sweetness. "they dont taste healthy" (ive been told by a picky, chocoholic) Ive made Cherry Pecan (my fav), and Cherry Coconut Pecan & Date Pecan (my friend loves these). Please give me tasty ideas for sweet combinations - I know what I like and its not usually what everyone else likes.

Ive got two dogs who sleep in my room in their own beds, but also sleep on my bed during the day when Im gone. Ive got a lot of things that absorb the odor-a down comfortor, a heavy duvet, a memory foam mattress topper. I wash them weekly with an odor fighting additive and they smell ok. But, besides changing the dogs bedding and my bedding and general cleaning, like vacuuming and dusting, what else can I do to make the room smell better? I dont like fabreeze fake spray scents, any other suggestions to get rid of the funk?

My dog takes meds for incontenance, DES. I think its a hormone to balance what was lost when she was spayed. Some females get this problem. Recently, went to the vet for a yeast infection and bacteria in her ear. She was also itchy around the neck/collar, armpits, base of tail. They gave her a shot of steriods and a pill, 2x's daily, to keep the steroid going for the itchies, now she's having accidents, where she did not before on the meds.

Ive taken her off the xtra steriod pill since her skin has cleared up from not itchinig and have her on the DES for the peeing.

Anyone have dogs on these meds or these problems? Thanks!

Sometimes we go on picnics and pick up chicken and other grocery store stuff on the way out. I've tried Vons-which was dry, Albertson's-which was good and Ralph's. I like Ralph's, the coating isn't too thick and its pretty juicy.

I know they serve a Frostie, but that's just a frozen dessert. Sometimes I want a shake with my fries!

All this rich holiday food has me on a binge of gluttony. Savory dishes, tons of desserts...my pants are getting tight.

Or a "turntable" for cd's, mp3's, etc. Something to mix and record music on the computer. We have a lot of vinyl records and would like to play them, there is a turntable that will change them into audio files if you plug it in to the puter...we have tons of audio files on the puter and audio files are easier to find online than vinyl....oh desicions. Tell me what you think!

2 turntables (for vinyl records) a mixer and headphones for about $300. Should I get something to work with the computer instead? Like a turntable that can change music into audio files, then we can 'record' our records and then mix on the computor to burn to cd. So, what about a mixing thing on the puter instead of turntables-that would require a place to stand the whole shabang...the puter set up would be more convienent. Wondering what my options are?

Im taking her to the vet's this weekend...what if she's microchipped? Do I have to haver her scanned? If she's got a chip, do I have to 'turn her in?

Our friends found this dog a month ago-totally abandonded-hoping that someone would take her in(they have 2 dogs already)We went to see them Sat night, met her, fell in love & took her home & today I saw a sticth on her belly. Its a metal wire, 2 ends stick out and its attached to a blk/brwn scab thing. Its on her belly, low down, like maybe spayed? (hoping!)

I think they were dark colored, like green or black? I think they were fried? I love them and dont know what they are. It was stored in a plastic bag (like a cheap shower curtain liner) with a zipper. The discoloration is kind of light yellowish, orange light spots...like a coffee stain or light rust, speckled along the neckline, torso and along the sides. Shoot..its all over the thing. The veil is not spotted and was packed with it. Ill keep that and pack it better for sentimental reasons.

My thing is...how do I get rid of it if I dont sell it? I cant just throw it in the trash and I dont want to use it for a halloween costume for myself...that wouldn't seem right.

Should I clean it? donate it? I mean, it sounds easy enough, but its my wedding dress...I should just cut the cord and chuck it.

Help? What do you do when your APR is raised to 29.99% and they wont lower it? Opening another credit card to absorb the balance is not an option. What is the difference between all these different credit solutions.
