Grocery store-deli fried chicken-favorite? Is there such a thing??

Out here in the middle of nowhere we have a grocery store called "Jumbos". They have a wide variety in the deli, and their fried chicken is the best in town. The chicken-fried steak is awesome as well.

Sometimes we go on picnics and pick up chicken and other grocery store stuff on the way out. I've tried Vons-which was dry, Albertson's-which was good and Ralph's. I like Ralph's, the coating isn't too thick and its pretty juicy.

Albertsons (which is now called Lucky in California) has really good chicken: Fried and roasted. BUT, it all depends on which location you go to. Some locations may cook their chicken too long or be too heavy with the seasoning/salt.

Although it's been a while since I've had it, I like Costco's rotisserie chicken. Pretty good.

OMG, yes there is such a thing. We have a Local Meat Market that sells Fried chicken. It is absolutely mouthwatering. It is a little more expensive, but well worth the cost.

We buy the Kroger ones almost every week (that would be the same as Ralph's).

My husband works there, and he picks up an 8 piece chicken dinner often, on his way home. Yummm!! (but not so healthy, oh well, it's a treat).

walmarts is pretty good, they got a special going on right now 8 pc fried chicken or a roasted bird, 2 sides, and 4 rolls for $8

Depends on the cut of beef you are using. The chicken recipe cooked for that long because that is how long it takes to completely cook the chicken. You could try the recipe with beef short ribs and it would cook about the same time.

I really like Walmart's popcorn chicken... But i have heard alot of people say they have got food poisoning from there. So I would have to say KFC

Before they got in trouble for it, the Albertson's here fried their chicken in the same oil they used for frying bacon and it was out of this world delicious.
