It is against the UCMJ for any officer to date an enlisted person
But you can get married as long as the officer is not in the enlisted person's chain of command, just not date, how do they get married if they can't date? Not sure but it has been known to happen (of course I doubt they really didn't date first but they just didn't get caught)

NO, one of you needs to leave the service, or you are at risk of being charged with Fratinization, ect. Can you get away with it yes, right up to the day someone wants to create it into an issue and they will be Right, as it clearly is in violation of the UCMJ. So just because people look the other way for awhile willn't make it not in violation. So who know get married and all of a sudden a year or two down the road you'se are both getting Dis-honorable booted, because some senior 'O' got ticked seeing you in the Officers mess or for whatever reason they want and push the issue. And both staying in not getting married, but dating leaves you just as venerable, just they willn't have the marriage certificate as evidence in the Court-martial.

I don't think that they can, pretty sure that an officer cannot marry enlisted member of the military. An officer can be married to an enlisted person, provided that they were both enlisted at the time they got married. If you were splitting hairs, you could say that an officer can marry two enlisted persons, if he's a chaplain that's performing the ceremony.

Not unless they got married prior to one becoming an officer. If they were both once enlisted, and they got married then...then it's okay. Or, if they got married before one was in the service, then it could be okay too.

as long as u didn't meet on the job and as long as ur not in each other's chain of command it's fine. If either of the two above are the case it's fratrnizing and it's against the ucmj. Typically same ranks marry though. As in enlisted to enlisted, officers to officers. I heard of a case in the af that the two wanted to marry and one had to retire but i think one was suborindate to the other as in same chain of command and couldn't transfer. Never ever in the same chain of command!

When I was a younger soldier it was allowed, there were no rules against it, just as long the officer wasn't in your direct chain of command. So I got engaged to a LT in my first unit, shortly after the "Powers that be" deemed in inappropriate it for people to do so unless they were with each other prior to the rule.
We broke up and decided to get back together but met with a slap in the face with the rule book and both were counciled heavily. Needless to say when she was medically discharged due to knee problems things were much better, but that rule has ruined many relationships that could be and I disagree with it strongly as long as favoritism is not shown in uniform.
The same rule goes for Soldiers and NCO's... It's advised against unless they are not in your Chain of Command, if there not, then its kosher.
Hope I helped..

It happens, and as long as the EM isn't in the same chain of command, it isn't strictly against regs, though it's hair-splitting, but it's usually a career-killer for the officer, in addition to the normal stresses and problems of assignments and what-not associated with the marriage of two service members.

Not generally but it does happen on occasion. Generally two enlisted people are married when one is commissioned. The navy has more chance of this occurring since they have the LDO/CWO program which commissions former enlisted persons .

Read AR 600-20, Army Command Policy. http://www.usapa.army.mil./ They can marry but it is punishable by the Uniform Code of Military Justice for both parties. Read also the Manual for Court Martial (MCM). It will give you the minimum and maximum punishments.

No, you can't unless you did this prior service. Officer only can many officer, and enlisted to enlisted.
