my computer randomly shuts down every 20 minutes or so?

why is it doing this? the computer makes a load nois as if its shuting down, and then a black screen comes up and asks if i want to start windows normaly or use a safe mode. what do i do to stop it? ive been starting it normaly every time i do it.

    Something wrong with power supply?

    Not enough power, or it might be overheating, over heating is throttling...it automaticlys shutdown ur computer

    mabey u r accedentaly touching the power button or go to control panel and change your options.the other reason might be it is set 2 restart evey 20 minutes call the number in the computer help book if you still have it

    you dont mention what operating system your running, but im gonna guess its winxp, as far as i know there is no fix for this, but a full reinstall, please correct me if im wrong.

    if you do a reinstall make sure you install service pack2 before you get on the net, as i beileive it fixes this problem
