Anyone see the BS ending to the ATL/POR game?
Roy knocks down 1/2 free throws after being "fouled" by Joe Johnson with just a few seconds left. First off, Joe never fouled him! Roy pushed off and they call a foul on Joe???
Another thing, he wasn't even in the act of shooting when he was fouled, yet he gets to the line? Hawks had a foul to give so if he wasn't in the act of shooting and he was "fouled" then why was it not inbounded next play? Unbelieveable
Nathan,
they had a FOUL TO GIVE, meaning they can commit one more foul before they are in foul trouble (2 free-throws for the opposition) teams will often foul at the closing seconds of the quarter to stop the clock when they have a foul to give
he was not fouled in the act of shooting! he was bumped and then shot the ball

Man I know that SUCKED! Joe did not foul him. And better yet Joe got fouled like at least 8 times during that game and he NEVER got the call. The Hawks won the game as far as I am concerned. BS referees need to learn how to do their job.

I don't know if it should of been a foul or not, but about the part that he shot free throws when he wasn't in the act of shooting could of been that the Hawks were in foul trouble, which is where you get to shoot free throws everytime someone fouls you whether your in the act of shooting or not.

I HATED THAT GAME!!! Man, they were winning by like 19 points!!! They lost that much points, but yes I agree with you, Joe shouldn't have been fouled, it was Roy's fault!!! I was so freakin mad after that game.
By the way, did you see the flagrant foul on Jones, it should have been a flagrant 2, Jones did it on purpose to Marvin!!!

it was a foul i saw it with my own eyes, which i think are a lot better then the refs aswell, but atlanta let by 14 points with 6:37 to go so they kinda had a meltdown. there were quite a few fouls that were and wern't called in the game, but that is how it goes in the nba.he was in the act of shooting, the ball almost went into the basket.

That's called "home-field advantage." Even the referees like to be cheered on. But it's not is unexpected, unbelievable, or as unreasonable as you have portrayed it. Sh!t happens. At least it's not the foul called on Kenyon Martin when it was Jason Terry who kicked him in the crotch.
