Does anyone know how to remove tinting from automobile windows, or to lighten it up a few shades?

Is there any solvents on the market that can remove tinting?

    Hi Richard

There is no way to make them liter the film you put on is the way it is going to be, the only thing you can do is change it.

Most tint shops will take it for a small fee and they might give you a break on a new installation on new film. If you want to take it off self you just have to peel it off and the you have to scrape the glue off, some people use solvents to help ease the processes, you can even use WD-40, but then you would have to clean it with a lot of soap and water.

I hope that helps good luck and take care.

There are solvents (like acetone) that will loosen it up! But i think you'll have to use a scraper to get it all off! Nothing will lighten it up without ruining it! Sorry!

i've got finished this some circumstances myself and in spite of you do, do no longer basically pull it off. you will possibly have glue residue caught to your abode windows that's a discomfort to eliminate. What you're able to do is stumble on a classic hair dryer. no longer a warmth gun! this might harm your motor vehicle. basically blow warm air on the area you're approximately to drag away and slowly peel the action picture off. pass the hair dryer alongside as you pull the action picture away. It takes extremely a whilst to take it off appropriate so endurance is a distinctive characteristic!
