US Mail postage question?

I am trying to mail a 6" x 9in" padded envelope via standard US mail. I keep trying to go on the post offices website to calculate shipping rates, bt it continually freezes on me. With the item I am sending, the envelope weighs about a 1/2 lb (7 oz) How many stamps would I need to send this out in your standard mail?

    It says $1.82, but I always add a little more just to be sure. Hope this helps. Also, it asks for zip code. I put in from TN to CA, figured that would be adequate.

    You could just go to the Post Office - there is a scale in the lobby - doesn't cost you anything.

    It would cost approximately $1.99 to mail it. Just put (5) .41cent stamps on it and you should be fine. good luck

    Try ebay. They have shipping estimate calculators.
