So I have an original NES. The light gun works as I have used it recently on other peoples TVS but for whatever reason, it doesnt work on mine. Does it have anything to do with it being a widescreen high-def LCD TV? Does the light gun not work on these types of TV's?

I am trying to figure out if I should eat the day old pizza on my counter. i forgot to put it in the fridge but it's been in a ziploc bag so it isnt in the open air. Will I get sick if I eat it?

I am trying to mail a 6" x 9in" padded envelope via standard US mail. I keep trying to go on the post offices website to calculate shipping rates, bt it continually freezes on me. With the item I am sending, the envelope weighs about a 1/2 lb (7 oz) How many stamps would I need to send this out in your standard mail?

If I have an accessory that hooks up to my choice of VGA or Component, which would give a better picture?

Would it be the VGA at 1280x1024 or would it be the component at 1080i ???

I have a slightly older HDTV. It has a DVI port instead of HDMI and supports up to 1080i but not 1080p.

My question is because it doesnt support 1080p when hooking up accessories such as Wii, Xbox 360, or DVD players will I notice a difference between the 3 methods?

For example, I have an upconvert DVD player in my HD port and Xbox in my Component. Would I notice a difference in my Xbox in the HD port instead of the component seeing as the component and HD port both only support up to 1080i?

Growing up I used to watch a cartoon at Christmas time. I dont remember what is was called so hopefully someone else knows. It involved a little girl who lost her favorite stuffed bunny in a big superstore and all she wanted for christmas was to get it back. I know whatever cartoon it was is also a newspaper comic stirp(I think). I dont remember much else, so hopefully someone else can help me out!

I have heard Junior fans that dont mind the move to Hendrick or any of the changes that will come with it, but the ones that do have problems talk about 3 things:

2) Possible not running wit hthe #8

3) Signing with Sony for main sponsorship rather than continue with Bud

My friend recently presented me with an argument on the Hd-DVD and Blu-Ray war. He said which ever format that the porn industry has gone with has won. Porn went with VHS over Beta, DVD over Laser Disc. He stated he heard the porn industry has gone with HD-DVD, so he believes HD-DVD will win this format war. Have you ever heard this theory in regards to all the different video wars being linked to the porn industry? Does anyone have any articles supporting his theory???

I just saw the trailer for the film Condemned and I think it is a total rip-off of the Japanese cult classic Battle Royale. But instead of releasing junior high school students on an island to kill each other, they put serial killers on an island to kill each other. And in Condemned they broadcast it over the internet for people's entertainment, while in the book Battle Royale(and a little in the in the movie) it is bet on and entertainment for the people as well. Total rip off. Don't believe me check out the trailers below. I included Battle Royale incase someone wasnt familiar with it....

Is Pan's Labyrinth this year's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon? I see some similarities when it comes to the appeal and critical accolades for these two movies. I think with Pan's Labyrinth garnering 6 Oscar nominations reminds me when Crouching Tiger came out strong with 10. Granted 6 & 10 are not entirely close, but to get that many nominations as a Foreign Film is a tremendous feat. And I think most of Pan's nominations this year are very winnable, with the acception of maybe 1 (Origional Screenplay) Other categories Pan's Labyrinth got nominated for are :

Achievement in Cinematography

Best Foreign Language Film of the Year

Achievement in Makeup

Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Score)

Any thoughts on their oscar hopes and award similarites to CT,HD?

Obviously there were a lot of quality films out there. There are some films that got lots of nominations but not the big on. If you had to put one movie on the 'Best Picture' list, what would it be and why? Also which movie would you take off the current noms and replace with your nomination?

Why does the golden globes allow US films to be in the best Foreign Language Film category (Apocalypto & Letters from Iwo Jima) while the Academy Awards does not? And likewise, why can't a foreing film be up for the overall Best Drama Film award at the Golden Globes, while the Academy will allow foreign films into the Best Picture category?

In my opinion, I think it is a crock that a US film won best Foreign Language Film @ the Golden Globes (Letters from Iwo Jima) I understand it was in Japanese but it was a major US backed and produced movie. It takes away from the fact that true foreign films like Pan's Labyrinth and Volver were some of the most fantastic films but get beat out in the "Foreign" category by a US movie.

I think the Academy has it right in not allowing US movies into the Foreign category but still allowing a foreing film to compete for best picture overall. Afterall Best Picture should be any movie, foreign or not. I just think the Golden Globes theory sucks

So ever since I was kid I get constant bloody noses in the winter time. One time I was in church and a gentleman gave me a solution that since has always worked for me, but I dont know why it works. He folded a paper towel into a rectangle about 1 inch by 1/2 inch and soaked it in cold water. He told me to insert it between my upper lip and gums from my front teeth and press it up into place. Amazingly, this helped stop the blood from dripping with my head at straight forward & also a tilted position. The bleeding stops completely after a few minutes and can then be removed from your mouth

I use this methos all the time to stop them at work, home, or school. It is conventient because you dont have to tilt your head forward or jam tissues up your nostril. My question is, why does this work? I am not sure of the reasoning why a folded up paper towel pressed between your gums can help stop this. Has anyone heard of this or know why it works?

I think this is a genre that often gets overlooked but there are some great movies based on Wars, real or fictional. I prefer movies based on real wars, but what is your favorite? Any type of war movie counts.

My sleeper sofa mattress that came with the couch is 5 ' thick. I am looking into memory foam mattress pads and have found them in 1, 2, and 3 inch thick. If you tri fold the bed that adds either 3, 6, or 9 inches of thickness. But since it is memory foam it will squish down. I dont think I can get a 3 inch, but will a 1 or 2 inch mattress pad work?

Anyone have any suggestions as to how to get my phone to stop vibrating. As long as there is power it will not stop vibrating. This includes when the phone is turned off but is plugged in to the charger. Any ideas as to how this can be stopped?

It is probably good to mention that water was spilled on it.......i know it's probably screwed but any help would be much appreciated.
