HDTV: Component vs DVI vs VGA for my accessories?
I have a slightly older HDTV. It has a DVI port instead of HDMI and supports up to 1080i but not 1080p.
My question is because it doesnt support 1080p when hooking up accessories such as Wii, Xbox 360, or DVD players will I notice a difference between the 3 methods?
For example, I have an upconvert DVD player in my HD port and Xbox in my Component. Would I notice a difference in my Xbox in the HD port instead of the component seeing as the component and HD port both only support up to 1080i?
By three methods I meant choosing between Component, DVI, or VGA

The component and DVI port will support 1080i,720p,480i and 480p. If your equipment has a HDMI output you can buy a cable that converts HDMI to DVI but you will need to run the sound separate because DVI does video only, unlike HDMI that does video and sound. Same applies for component hook up. Best quality is HDMI then DVI,component, composite.
I would hook up the DVD with HD up conversion to the DVI and the game system to the component input.

not worth it. it can be a HDMI to DVI cable and it may seem the comparable because of the fact the VGA hookup. There could be some form of great severe end video card accessible that does DVI out, yet I doubt that it may be extremely extremely worth the cost and concern. because of the fact that popular DVI incorporates audio, you're able to nevertheless ought to run a seperate line for audio. there has been accepted Audio-Video postpone / synch themes with DVI cables to computing gadget's.
